I think perhaps DOTA2 should be avoided, though. It has the perspective, but so does most every Moba. Of course, that might depend on what we are trying to define. If it's a look, then fine, but then Warcraft and Starcraft fit the bill too. Strategy and tactics trump over exploration and adventure in both cases.
Do a google search of Axonometric Action Adventure, and you get a certain set of games.
It sounds to me like you want to also include the results from a google search of "Top Down Action Adventure".
Perhaps top-down perspective is the term you are looking for, despite the fact that if it is invoked, people tend to exclude the Axonometric style almost entirely.
