Description
UPDATE: Now comes bundled with all recommended .ini tweaks and some additional fixes.

A compilation of mods thoroughly tested and proven to improve game balance, fix bugs, improve UI, and generally enhance the gameplay experience while maintaining the integrity and difficulty level of the base game and without deviating from the XCOM aesthetic. I've even included a list of .ini tweaks below that really help these mods harmonize.
  • SPARK units and Skirmishers have been rebalanced to be more viable in the late game
  • Slight nerfs to Reaper's Shadow concealment (Now revealed if flanked by activated enemies within normal sight range)
  • Concealment mechanics buffed to respect cover and terrain differences
  • Enemy AI overhauled to be smarter with their abilities and action points
  • Chosen are rebalanced so as to all be equally threatening (Hunter is no longer a joke)
  • Rewards for defeating chosen are also normalized (defeating the Warlock is no longer a waste of time)
  • New ammo types added, all ammo rebalanced so as to all be equally useful
  • TLP weapons are now alternative weapon types instead of pre-upgraded, single-use weapons (better than standard for early game, slightly worse for late game)
  • Abilities that grant free movement or extra action points now interact and stack properly rather than overriding one another
  • Hit percentages are fixed to work more intuitively, and display an easy to read indicator bar when shooting
  • Ability Icons are now color coded to indicate free actions (green), actions that do not end turn (blue), and actions that end the turn (yellow)
  • Avenger scanning is now much more precise, allowing scan times to be controlled to the hour.
  • Enemy health bars have numbers next to them, so it's easier to tell if a shot will kill or not without having to count squares
  • Identifiers for actions like running into overwatch or pod activation radii (game will tell you if you're about to trigger overwatch or activate visible enemies)
  • A few additional maps that have been tested to be tactically viable and safe for ironman have been added
  • New unique targeting icons to more easily differentiate between different unit types
  • Added hair, clothing, and armor customization options with new "Randomize Appearance" button for character customization
  • More regional flags, more propaganda poster options
  • Free look camera (Hold MMB--Toggle Zoom Level keybinding--and drag to move the camera freely. "Reset Zoom Level" keybinding resets to default position")

AML Conflicts - The Alternative Mod Launcher[github.com] will throw up a few override conflicts that the compatibility patch alone can't resolve. The game will run fine either way, but it's still a good idea to resolve these conflicts. To do so, remove/comment out the following lines in the respective mods' XComEngine.ini files:

Note that this collection is made with the assumption that all DLC content is owned. If you own War of the Chosen, but not the Tactical Legacy Pack, you should probably disable the following TLP mods:
  1. Infinite TLP Weaponry
  2. [TLP] Faster Banners
  3. [WOTC] Spinning Barrels for TLP Magnetic Cannon
  4. (WOTC+TLP) TLP Attitude Voice Fix
  5. TLP: Unlocker

Similarly if you don't own Shen's Last Gift, you should disable the SPARK related mods:
