To activate the Gold Update do the following:

1. Copy this code: 720c3209bec8fb8158d2e22870cb0e01
(Be careful not to copy spaces before or after the code)
2. Right-click on Windstorm in your Steam library
3. Click on Properties
4. Click on the tab Betas
5. Paste the above copied code in the box next to the code check button.
6. Click on Code Check
7. Now select in the scroll menu: gold - EU, Nordic & Gold version
8. Click Close and let Steam download the update.
9. Start the game.

Go All Out

Grind:

Visit Practice Mode
Play a match as all characters
Win 50 matches offline (Arcade counts)
Play 100 matches offline (Arcade counts)
Play 100 matches online (Recommended a partner)
Reach level 10 with 3 characters

You get the same amount of xp regardless of wins and played, so you will get a lot during your arcade and online grind. Personally I played "Smash Out" with one life. Not sure if necessary, but I used a controller for this. You simply knock the player out of the map and match is done -> restart match.

Another good strat is bag bounce (set it to 5 hits).

Beat Primordial Calamity

This is for beating the final boss in the Arcade mode in Classic and Go All Out. You can restart as much as you'd like.
Finish survival mode (beat survival mode, very easy)

Magic crystals

There are no checkpoints during the level. One enemy going through is an instant death.

The optimal upgrade route (credits to RaVmAsTeR) is Fox > Fox speed up > Blue tower > Green tower (second from the right) > Rest depends on the level and player preference.
In higher levels eventually player will have all the upgrades anyway so it's just about the placement.

There are weapons exclusive to each of four nations.
Map can be changed at the end of the round only. Every map hosts German vs. 1 of these armies: American, British, Soviet, which makes kills with German weapons more attainable.
Focus on British/Soviet weapon achievements first, becouse maps with British/Soviets appear in server menu less often.
Majority of achievements can be done by playing on an empty server with bots. "Neutralize" and "Regift" can be done easily with a partner.

This game doesn't really have a good tutorial so here's what I wish I knew when I started:

Skip cutscenes by holding space.
Each level can be finished quickly by using the first ability (sword) to find the "Light Monument" that has purple particles flowing out the top. Interact inside the circle next to it to create a larger circle. Standing inside of this circle and killing enemies turns the outline gold, after which the level will finish.
Holding Q starts bullet time, letting go will kick.
Finding a good (automatic) weapon is critical to getting past the later levels.
Zombies do almost zero damage, but gun enemies will kill you in one or two hits, so make sure to strafe around.

The fastest way to grind this achievement is level 10.
Go straight to the closest tree (the left one on the map), picking up the food and crystals on your way there.
After you restore the root, just restart the level.
Rinse and repeat for about 50 times (a full game playthrough gives you around 20 only).
It takes around 20 seconds per run (5 minutes in total for all 3 tiers of this achievement).

Repair 750 buildings
Improve 700 buildings (source)

I located the save file so I could figure out what is and isn't counting. 3 star buildings are +2, but improving the guild hall doesn't count. So 16 nets only 6 improves. 24 also does as well. Haven't found a level with more than 3 buildings that do count for improving yet. The second game definitely does better here with the last two levels having 5 buildings to repair and improve.

If you need only repairs, 6 is better since it has 5 to repair. But dang, the devs really shouldn't have included such grindy achievements that require hours of gameplay after you finish the game.

Just upgrade guild hall, repair the farm, then immediately upgrade it, replay level and keep going at that. 2 upgrades then in a pretty short time. Still tedious, but that is looking to be the fastest now.
