Extended Curations :: Achievement Scouts

Three "missable" achievements, but they can easily be earned by starting a new save. None of the rooms are progression gated. Will give more info below.

You can die as much as you want. You continue from where you left off, except the last boss.

Make sure you don't pick up more than 10 needles before you defeat Susuk lady.

You can zoom in with the camera. The phone got a flashlight. The zoom function will be useful vs the boss in room 101.

On 102 and 103 you will meet the boss "Zook". He hides, and instakills you. Once you've met him the first time, you'll receive a contract for him. Listen for loud breathing, and walk slowly to catch him. Use the camera, and zoom in to find him, and then "snap" a picture of him to banish him. Remember he's in BOTH 102 and 103.

Missables:

First of all, I'd like to say that they are only missable as in "might not get them on that save", but you can always start a new save and do them right away.

Every room can be revisited at any time, so don't be afraid if you've missed anything.

This is all the way in the start, and you just walk to every single candle you can see in the spawn area. You go back here every time you die, so it's sort of not really missable. You can always start a new save too.

Pinned Down
Defeat 'Susuk Lady' with 10 'Susuk Needles' or less

Make sure you don't pick up more than 10 needles. Note that she is easier to beat the more needles you pick up, so it is recommended to have 10 needles exactly.

Just keep running in circles around the room while snapping pictures to damage her. Watch out for things she's thrown. For this one as well, AFAIK, no repercussions for dying, as I personally died a few times too.

Sharpshooter
Defeat 'Ceramic Woman' without damaging her decoys

During the ceramic puzzle, make sure you don't use your camera on anything other than the woman with black scars on her face, back and legs. She is noticably different. Go close. If it doesn't unlock, you can simply start a new save and try again as none of the rooms are gated.

The Painscreek Killings

Note: After you finished the game you can click on "continue" to get to any missed collectible and get all the other ending achievements.
If you want to go safe you can also backup your save under AppData>LocalLow>EQ Studios>The Painscreek Killings

All endings:

You're Fired: Immediately turn around and leave the town.
Completionist: Have a 100% completion rate at the end by finding all items and read all letters etc., personally i got it together with the "Truth Revealed" achievement.
Truth Revealed: Have above 50% and answer the quiz correctly.
Case Unsolved: Have above 50% and answer the quiz incorrectly.
Missing Journalist: During the final chase sequence don't run away and get killed.

The only achievement that is not covered in above guide seems to be "Dying Man's Letter". Go to the Hospital patient room 205 and pick up the letter on the floor in one of the corner's.

Step 1: Finish the main quest and all sidequests.

Refer to the Guide and Walkthrough by A_Backdated_Future & AbsoluteSteve[gamefaqs.gamespot.com] if needed.
Errands (sidequests) 132-138 are not necessary, but they do reward rare alchemy drops.
There isn't much else to worry about at this stage. Always catch familiars when you can, as it's a random occurrence.

Step 2: Tame 250 different species and craft 120 different items.

Tame 250 different species
The taming system works very similarly to Pokémon. A familiar is considered tamed when caught in the wild or evolved from a lower stage.
I recommend focusing on evolving all stage 1 familiars to stage 2 first (the ones you're missing), and then concentrate on catching/evolving the stage 1 familiars you're still missing.
Grind levels while collecting alchemy drops for the section below.
Additionally, feed a familiar the highest tier treats for the Overfamiliar/Pedigree Breeder achievements. The highest tier treats provide greater boosts and can be created with alchemy.

Craft 120 different items
Begin by crafting everything that doesn't require rare drops, totalling the required 119 out of 120. Recipe 060 requires rare drops but is completed as part of an errand.
The following 15 recipes require rare drops: 051, 056, 068, 076, 084, 088, 093, 094, 097, 109, 125, 127, 130, 132, 133.
Afterward, check which of these 15 recipes you can craft to unlock the achievement.

Save Location

Remember to make a backup in Chapter 1 (after getting on the boat to the hospital) and Chapter 6 (before entering the sewers).
Optionally backup before boss battles, as dying makes you lose all your blood which makes the fight harder.

Embrace

'Embrace' refers to two things:

It is a story-affecting decision. Always choose the one that isn't Embrace.
Normal citizens can also be embraced for experience points. Only ever do this when collecting weapons after making the Chapter 6 backup.

Additional Content

Citizen hints and investigations are mostly optional. The only required ones are those that reward collectibles.
However, they also reward experience so completing them makes the game much easier.

ISLA test

Launch the game and press F12 to open the Developer console.

Start a new game and run the command

Math.random=()=>1

Return to the main game window and pick up the pink square, and the next pink square. You should see a lot of pink particles spawning and your score increasing rapidly. You should get all score-based achievements rather quickly.

This is because the command overwrites the standard Javascript function used to generate random numbers, with a function that simply returns the number "1" - essentially "disabling" randomness - and forcing that square to spawn in the same location every single time, where you pick it up immediately.

This will cause the game to crash if you do it before you are in-game - if so, simply restart the game and try again, as this is not a persistent change to the game, and will reset in a new session.

Locate the Windows tab in the app and click on it to view a list of running processes.
Download Testlimit [learn.microsoft.com] and unzip the files into any folder.
Open the folder containing Testlimit and click on the file explorer address bar.
Type 'cmd' to open a command line interface.
Enter the following command in the console:

testlimit64.exe -d <REPLACE> -c 1
Replace 'REPLACE' with a number in megabytes (MB) that is close to your maximum RAM capacity. For example, if you have 32 GB of RAM, a good number would be 30000.
Press Enter to execute the command.

Walkthrough

Open Settings and enter the following credentials under PLATFORM SETTINGS:

Click on Download NFTs Copy and wait for the process to finish (this may take a while).
Once done, press Alt+Tab, right-click on the game in the library, select Properties, go to the Installed Files tab, click Browse, then navigate to Gallery → Source → NFT Vault → 0xc8f8e2F59Dd95fF67c3d39109ecA2e2A017D4c8a.
Press Ctrl+A to select all files, then press Ctrl+V to duplicate them.
Now, while still in the folder, click on the address bar and copy the absolute path. Example:
