Extended Curations :: Achievement Scouts

To start, turn on "Chaos Mode" in your toolbar. This will let shapes drop automatically and quickly, likely getting you every shape up until roughly Septagon relatively quickly, as well as the 100mph achievement.

Then you're going to want to open console via the following keys:

Ctrl + Shift + I

Make sure you're on the "Console" tab on the window that opens and then paste the following code and press enter. Do this twice, either via pasting twice or pressing up in console to select last submitted code and enter again. You may get an error in the console about it being a security risk. If so, follow the instructions it gives you to enable pasting.

createShape(mouse.x, -500, shapes[4], 5, "void")

This should spawn 2 void septagons, and allowing them to touch will unlock "Voidagon".
You can keep pressing enter with this code 6 more times if you want to unlock "Enneagon", "Decagon", and "Hendecagon".
Now run this code - again, twice.

createShape(mouse.x, -500, shapes[8], 9, "void")

This will make 2 void hendecagons, and allowing them to touch will unlock "Voidadone".
Run this twice too:

createShape(mouse.x, -500, shapes[8], 9, "growing")

This will make 2 growing hendecagons, and allowing them to touch will unlock "Against All Odds"
Run this code twice:

createShape(mouse.x, -500, shapes[8], 9, "doctor")

This will make 2 doctor hendecagons, and allowing them to touch will unlock "Survival of the Fittest" NOTE: At time of writing, this achievement is broken due to a typo in code. It will likely be fixed soon.
Finally, you're going to want to run this code at least 20 times in quick succession - or until the achievement "Outbreak" unlocks.

createShape(mouse.x, -500, shapes[0], 1, "sick")

This will make 20 (or more) sick shapes that should unlock the "Outbreak" achievement. You should do this quickly as they may begin to die off and no longer count as "sick".

Factory Town

The console cheese works in campaign mode and custom mode. I do not recommend using Sandbox mode, as I could not get achievements to unlock in this mode.

Campaign Mode

I strongly suggest that you complete the first campaign level without using console cheese, to familiarise yourself with the game's interface and systems. When you feel ready to use console, proceed below.

Press your ` key to bring up the console, or rebind in settings if this is inaccessible to you.
Typing "Admin" will remove building costs, research requirements and allow instant completion of all quests except for "Victory Conditions". If you ever want to turn this off, press the ` key again and type "admin off". This setting is not saved across different maps, and will need to be enabled each different campaign level.

For campaign mode, you'll want to look at the victory conditions and what building produces that resource. Place one of those buildings, and select the right recipe for the item you need to make. For each item in this recipe, place an item generator nearby and connect it to the production building with a conveyor belt. (Workers are not able to pick up items from Item Generators). Each item generator has a setting for "Item Filter" - this is what dictates what the generator will produce. Set each one to produce the items needed in the recipe - and make sure that the output of the production building is cleared into a barn, a silo or a void obelisk, else it will stop producing.

Set this up for each objective and then wait until the required amount is produced. Please note that you my not always receieve achievements for "Create 1 <blank>" this way.

Custom Mode/Create 1 Achievements

Create a custom game (Not a sandbox game) and for "Starting Map", load the "Flat" preset, and for "Start state", load the "Magic Age" preset. This will make things easier in terms of building and research. Leave the rest default as it is unclear what effects achievements.

Create this map and once done, you're going to want to enter admin mode as above (` key, type admin) - and build what production buildings you need for the item achievements you need. Also, make sure that you build plenty of houses and a Food Market, a General Store, an Apothecary, and a Specialist Goods store. These buildings produce coins - make sure they are within the zone of interest for your town.

Still in admin mode, max out your research level and research as much as you can. Some researches are unnecessary and repeatable, so don't worry if you can't get everything. Also make sure to max out the upgrade level of your Town Center.

When you want to start making stuff, leave admin mode (Press ` key, type "admin off"). I am unsure if this is necessary but I do believe it can interfere with achievements.

Now for each item you need an achievement for, find the building that produces it. Select that building, and with that building selected, press your ` key and type

a <item> 20

Replace <item> with the name of the item required in the recipe of what you're making. In most cases, this will just be the item's name with no spaces. If you are uncertain, you can use this reference list.[factorytown.fandom.com] You can use a higher quantity than 20 but it is most times unnecessary as you only need to make 1 item and you cannot "overfill" the input area of a production building. Repeat this for each recipe ingredient, and eventually - once each input is filled, the item you need will start to be made and you'll get your achievement.

If you are missing any of the achievements for the coin items, these are done slightly differently. You select the Food Market/General Store/Apothecary/Specialist Goods store and add items to their inventory the same way - but instead of fulfilling a recipe, you're adding these items to the town's "selling pool" and generating coins. You can add any item mentioned in the building's "input". I believe it is Food Market for yellow coins, General Store for red coins, Apothecary for purple coins and Specialist Goods for blue coins. This will only work if there are houses nearby and the selling building is within the zone-of-interest for this - as it must be selling to someone to generate those coins.

Note the missable achievements and collectibles before the Point of No Return, and keep a separate save in case you miss something.
This is covered in detail in both guides.

As resources are scarce on hard, you may need to farm 500 slugs (currency) spent. Once you're at the Point of No Return, open Safe & Sound Lockers for slugs and and spend all your slugs on food. You won't need slugs or food beyond the Point of No Return.

General Achievement Guide

S Ranks require you to get an S rating on 2 out of the 3 criteria at the end of any given level. Speed and kills is the best approach. You will also get an S rating for doing a pacifist run (instead of kills), but almost every level requires you to kill cops anyway.

DEAD RISING®

Extended:
If you want to prioritize 100%, in the 1st run go for 'Zombie Genocide' and with the spare time start cleaning any remaining achievements.
In the 2nd run go for 'Saint' saving 50 survivors (only 1 can die if you miss someone, but you need to finish Overtime, also your character count as a survivor too). In this run you'll get plenty of achievements.
On the 3rd run you shouldn't have to worry about unlocks or story mode. Do a cleanup run ignoring the storyline and focus on the remaining achievements like trying all foods, all clothes, taking 100 PP Pictures, etc.
Finally, play on Infinity Mode and survive 7 days straight (14 real hours). In this mode you can't save, close the game or go idle but you can pause if you want to take a break.

Early Game

penta0 gave a strategy that makes the early game much easier.

Complete dungeons until you get 20K+ gold. Can do more to make the process less tedious.
Go to System > Give up.
Start New Game+ and the game carries over 50% of total sales (10K in this case).
Go to HR and upgrade something.
Immediately Give up again and repeat steps 3-4 nine times for each type of training.

This unlocks nine "Invest" achievements which awards +30% to every stat and should be enough to get you through Day 30. When choosing dungeons to explore, choose the ones with gold-rimmed characters you can rescue. These are the most powerful characters. One of them, Akari, has a skill called Deratobas which is extremely useful. You'll need to rescue all 8 for their achievements.

Post Game

After completing the game, complete any dungeons you've yet to complete to unlock a third page of dungeons: Battle Arena, Cavern of Darkness, Black Flame Mountain. Lastly, Infinite Labyrinth unlocks after completing these three.

Grinding Drops and Kirakuris
You basically need to grind the dungeons on page 3 for all the remaining achievements. Most achievements should come naturally as you unlock the grindiest 8:

Road to the God of Battle I/II
Road to the Guardian Deity I/II
Road to Skanda I/Road to Skanda II
Excavation Master I/II

The first 6 are pure RNG, you need to find the two higher tiers (purple/gold) of ATK & M-ATK Boost, DEF & M-DEF Boost, and MOV Boost artifacts. Excavation Master requires mining 200 kirakuris, which is just grind.

Savescum Method
The game generates the entire dungeon floor (including chest contents) during the loading screen between floors. The game also saves at this moment.
Instead of replaying dungeons from the beginning for treasure, force close the game during the loading screen, but after the game has finished saving. Every time you continue the save, the game will remake the dungeon floor.
This is best done on the boss floor since they're the smallest and has 3/4 chests.
It's also best to do this after a couple of playthroughs when you can easily invest in everything to MAX and one-hit most enemies.

You must fully play through episodes to keep Wrong Answer of the Game prizes for 'Winventory'. No need to answer anything except the relevant question in the guide.

Everything can be easily boosted with a partner. The only annoying achievement is The Great Escapist since getting a 10 star wanted level requires at least two kills. It's easier to fill a lobby with bots and use noclip command to fly around the map quickly.

The counters in-game reset after each session, but the counters on your achievement page don't (except stars), which causes all kinds all kinds of inconsistencies. It's best to do these achievements in one session. The console commands below can be used to reduce the match length and stars awarded.

pm_gamerules_roundtime x = (Default: 180) Round duration in seconds (Hunt mode)
