Secrets of Grindea.....how do I say this in a way that people will think, "Wow, this games sounds good, I should play this?" Well I don't know honestly. But I'll try my best!

Okay so here we go! Secrets of Grindea, first look before buying it I though to myself, "Eh, this games doesn't look too bad. I hope it's not like every other rpg I've played." So I bought this game knowing that it was still early access. What a gamble!

Okay now lets talk about my first reaction.I booted up the game, (do people even say that anymore?) and was welcomed by a nice and catchy theme song, one I still cannot get out of my head. I proceeded to select stroymode, singlplayer and boom I was in the game! I played through the intro, the first boss, the second boss, and the first two areas. I fell in love with the game because it was really unique and interesting, let's not forget about fun!

Fighting! The combat is smooth and not boring, plus the cartoonish style makes it enjoyable. Two handed swords are slow, one handed swords are fast like they should be and wands make magic dealy but don't hurt much. The skills they have add a sort of customization to the game that can make a player speicalize in what they want wether its a tank role, supportrole, or somwhere in between. Magic in the game is fun though some of the schools of magic, which are ground, wind, ice, and fire, are better than the other this can lead to a broken system where one school of magic in the game is never used making it pointless.

Another great feature of the game is the pets! You got to love the pets they're soo CUTE!!! *cough* *cough* On a professional note pets are a fun feature that really adds to the game. The best part of the pets is that you can feed them certain items that boost your overall stats. This is great like I said previously but broken becuase the game itself has no protection against hacking. You could hack in a billion speed potions if you wanted to and feed them to your pet which makes you OP as heck and can ruin the gaming experience.

Lets talk about the gameplay, so far in the game at the date this is written you can only play the game up to Mt.Bloom, which is okay because the game is still in EARLY ACCESS. The monsters can be challenging at times and make you upset. I don't know how many I died by a monster and said," I am going to destroy your face!" I am looking at you Halloweed. The leveling system is pretty fair with a great exp rate through out the story. The bosses are nice with a unique challenge for all of them, you have to create tactics and learn the bosses attack patterns before you can triumph over them. WARNING: Prepare to get creamed by some bosses!! The level spikes in each area you go to are mostly appropriate besides the third area which can get a tad tough becuase of certain enemies. ( I swear the Yeti species hate me >.> )

What is an RPG without multiplayer, am I right? Secrets of Grindea goes about there Co-op experience just fine. You can play story mode with friends or play Arcade mode with friends. There is no match making feature currently in the game so you have to go make some friends to play multiplayer. During the story mode when you play multi player whoever is the host of the game it's their story, so don't expect to pick up where you left off in the story mode with your friends if you try to play solo. When you play solo it is your own story on the specific character. The Arcade mode is where you traverse through floors trying to make it to the end, if you die you start all over and loose your gear. There is a warning though, this mode could potentially ruin the story line.

Overall this game is really fun and I reccommend that eveyone gives it a try. I rate this game, IN ITS CURRENT STATE AS OF 6/26/2016, 8.5/10 Paws
