There were many occasions while playing this game on which I cursed the name of Jonny Blow. I swore revenge for the misery and suffering he so eagerly sought to inflict upon me, wondering what could possess a man to devise puzzles so utterly devilish and hell-bent on the mental and emotional subjugation of the weak.

Mr. Blow might, in fact, be the devil himself. I awoke on many mornings with the images of maze puzzles imprinted on my retinas. Life had become an infinite series of lines and circles, endless torment only alleviated through the ruthless self-flagellation of returning to that island and ingesting yet another puzzle.

But in the end, completing The Witness without any assistance will remain one of the greatest achievements and fondest memories of my gaming career. A mediocre achievement to some, perhaps, but pretty good for a drooling room temperature IQ baboon like me.
