A Bit About Me, Fifth_Quarter:

I am an avid gamer and have been for ~3 decades.

Originally playing mostly RTS games like Age of Empires & Empire Earth, I now play & enjoy games from almost every genre.
Throughout the years & the 0000’s of hours of experience in games like Age of Empires, Battlefield, Battlefront, Borderlands, Call of Duty, Killing Floor, Fallout, Might & Magic, The Elder Scrolls, Worms and Star Wars (especially the space combat sim’s) I have developed/honed my Tactical skills, Reaction Times, Problem Solving and especially for me Shape/Sound/Movement Recognition to overcome my Deuteranomaly Colour Blindness.
In all this has moulded me into a formidable player, a devious enemy, a valuable team mate and a player that will happily & can competently fulfil various roles.

But most of all I'm here for Fun, with fair play and no toxicity towards my fellow gamers, regardless of friend or foe status.
I am a gamer, not because I don’t have a life, but because I choose to have many.

Gaming has long been a big part of my life and I don’t believe it will cease to be so any time soon.
It offers too much to do, see and be part of in ways that are impossible to achieve anywhere else.

Reviews:

As you may have noticed I have sunk some serious time into games.
As an extension of this I also like to create Reviews , mostly for games I love (when I feel I can do them justice) & those that have left an impression (good/bad).

🔹 I enjoy writing these, take pride in them and do what I can to make them as accurate as possible, and on occasion edit them to take account of changes should I revisit the game or find my format, lacking.

🔸 This approach (i believe) puts a level of responsibility on the owner of the review’s.
After all, it's there to help players like you make a judgement on a game and potentially sway you to either part or keep your Coin.

I have seen many reviews that are incorrect or flat out lies where no one can highlight / call-out the misinformation!

You had a Pre-alpha in 2016, with an unreleased 1st trailer and an amazing jump in development to the official first Pre-Alpha Trailer

⭐Then on the 28 Feb 2018. Early Access launch and the birth of Deep Rock Galactic⭐
When many of us discovered our inner hidden Dwarfs

Since then DRG has never stopped growing & not just the game but the fan base.

(Even though it was a complete game on launch and not sold as a live service)
🔹 This steady influx of good additional content throughout all aspects is a major factor that has help keep Deep Rock Galactic alive, & not just from the Developers, but also the Community it spawned.

🔸 A Community I am proud to be a member of. 🔹

A community, that amongst so many other things:
🔸 Answered the call to Mine in droves, and stayed,
🔹 Creates Trailers & Recruitment Videos
🔸 Creates amazing Music, then even Remix them,
🔹 Cemented voice lines into history, ”For Rock & Stone”
🔸 Creates Mods,
🔹 Documents DRG History,
🔸 Loved Doretta so much we asked/received the ability to save her,
”No Dwarf left behind”
🔹 Spawned, and funded a DRG Board Game
(I got me the Collector’s Edition within hours, plus some extras) 👍
🔸 But best of all, we mine together vs the horrors of Hoxxes IV,
(There are ‘Co-Op’ games where players get along, then there's DRG, where were practically family)

🔸 GRIP / Rollcage 3 🔹

1st Race:

🔸 I blew it. Stone cold last, 10th place,

2nd Race:

🔹 Getting to Grip's with it, 8th place,

3rd Race:

🔸 It all came flooding back from Rollcage.
🔹 I was in the frae from the start to end, jostling for position,
🔸 With cars driving above me,
🔹 Rockets screaming past,
🔸 Guns disrupting my steering,
🔹 Explosions blasting competitors out of the way,
🔸 That unmistakable bleeping of a missile locking on to me.

🔹 It was 4 laps of my heart going as fast as my car,
🔸 Huge smile on my face,
🔹 Action packet,
🔸 400kph combat racing.

This is what the game is all about,

Oh and I got 3rd place.
