Ok as of the 29.04.2021 I was able to start the game through steam. Turned out it was steam causing the issue. This was the one game out of 808 games I have that caused this issue. As I said I could still play the game before then via the games exe file in the steam folder. I have to say I have been lucky and the game runs nicely the only three things I have spotted in that time and since I could start properly through steam is. The odd T-pose which made for epic photo shots, the NPC's lips not moving when talking and NPCs walking through vehicles is the latest I have seen.

Now am not fully reviewing this as of yet. But I will say some things on what they expected to do. Covering PC, Next Gen and Current Gen. As much as this is a nice Idea to please everyone. This is not good at all. I really do feel that they should have focused on PC first then rolled to the consoles. Now that would be an issue when you look at the current gen and the next gen consoles. Big diferance between them both. Let alone the MANY Configurations of PCs. I think they should have had the current gen consoles on the last step. But on the other card it may have been best to drop the current gen. Because what we have now has marked CD Project Red for sure.

Now if you ask me would a recomend this in its current state. Its really hard to say right now with me I say yes and no. But with how so many work arounds and fixes to get alot of people to run the game on pc. This is something a user really! Should not have to go through. The game was rushed out they tried to cover all bases. If you asked me to rank just now. 6 paws out of 10. So until I complete this I will at present time mark this as a no.

Story: Alright the story to this game is you play one of the Blazkowicz's twin daughters and you trying to find your father BJ Blazkowicz. You do this with the help of one of your friend Abbey who gives you something special, you find the French resistance to help you. Now am going to say this I felt the story was rather short. I finished it in under ten hours that's including some breaks and doing about four side quests.

The Graphics: The graphics look great. You might need to change some settings depending on your rig power but even with mine on a 970 with a few tweaks like I said looks great to me.

Game play: There is several ways this game can be played. You can play solo, play with a friend in co-op or just go straight in with an online random. I played solo with the AI controlling the other character.

Now once you have chosen how you are going to play. You select from either Jess or Sophie Blazkowicz to play as. You select your initial gear at first. After some cinematic you can play the game by either going full on blast your way or silently sneak through or do a combination of the both, like I did.

Now when you go in sneaking you have a cloak which helps for sneaking silent attacks. But do not always rely on this as they will notice you if you sit there constantly when they walk up to you. So you are not fully invisible. But it does make for awesome silent kills.

Weapons wise there is quiet a few. You have you a lot of weapons which you can use you will pick up most of the from the Nazi's you kill. All these weapons can be upgraded use the silver coins you pick up and there is some that you can only purchase via gold bars which you can buy from steam store. I personally am no fan of purchase weapons. Personally I believe the weapons should be free and its the skins that should be purchasable if you are doing micro transactions. That is my belief on that.

Now to your character, you can upgrade your character using the collected gears. Which allows you to change the follow sections. Your Abilities are mind, Muscle and Power. Your Appearance of your Power suit Skin and your Helmet. Then lastly gameplay so that is Pep Signal and boosters which help with health and armour.

Now one thing I will say it would appear the cinematic bits are locked in at 30fps but for the other parts of the game you can crank the fps limit up to 1000. But personally to me I do not see the difference over 60fps.

There is collectables in the game which you can find and also ones that you do need that hold pass codes e.g. these are on the floppy disks which once you find you need to decrypt them. The other collectables are Concept art work which from the ones I found, I would love to have on my wall. The others are Readable items books news papers notes. Cassette tapes which you can play ranging from songs to Intel. 3D Glasses which is just 3d models of assets in the game and UVK covers which to me looks like VHS box cover art work.

Controls: Controls are easy to use you can change them to your style on keyboard and mouse

The Music: From what I heard I liked. Not I was to enthralled in the shooting running around like a lonnie and sneak attacking like a mad bear.

The Replay Value: Well to me I would say their not really any except to play the the other daughter and maybe doing co op.
Bug/Glitches: The only issue I came across was when you hold your pistole or maschinenpistole with the flash light you can not aim down your sights it crashes and puts you back to the main screen.

Overall: Well with the story, I did not feel much from it in a major sense. I knew the main point and moving along even with the twist it felt a bit short and could have had more in it. Graphics with some tweaks made it look great. I enjoyed the gameplay it kept me going even with the power suit side and the abilities. Controls easy to use and customizable. Music from what I heard I liked. The bug/glitch I had was the only issue it did annoy me a little. But got back on the horse so to speak. Replay value is there to a degree. I will certainly be playing as Jess on my next run. Well my overall on this I would say its 8 out 10 paws. More on the story interaction and longer for me.
