1. Biography

Greetings adventurer,

I've found a true home in Steam, a place that holds a special place in my heart. I've been a part of this platform since November 2010, and reflecting on it, quite a bit of time has passed. Since you've taken the time to explore my profile and seem interested in starting a conversation, I'm excited to share some insights into my interests and activities. Here's a glimpse:

One of my favorite ways to unwind is through gaming. This passion for gaming has been with me since childhood. I have cherished memories of sharing gaming moments with a childhood friend, a passion that we've continued to foster. The joy I find in games inspired me to consider starting a YouTube channel. My wife and I have been working on our channel and like me she is a fellow enthusiastic gamer. Interestingly, our offices are situated back-to-back, and she's often more immersed in gaming than I am. 😅

For more details about my channel, feel free to read further down on my profile. Your interest would mean a lot to me. 😀

A fun twist to my story is how my wife and I initially met was through an MMORPG called AION. Our journey together began in 2014. Occasionally, you might catch us engaged in co-op games, an activity we both enjoy whenever time permits. While I'm not a frequent co-op player, I make exceptions when my wife isn't inclined to join a particular game.

I place great value on transparency in interpersonal interactions, embracing honesty while maintaining kindness. Engaging in profound and meaningful conversations, whether about games or other topics, is something I relish. I'm always willing to discuss a wide range of subjects.

It's essential to note that I'm not one to initiate contact with people unless approached or when there's pertinent information to share. I lean towards minding my own business, a disposition grounded in practicality. My days are predominantly occupied by content creation, and when I engage in gaming, I gravitate towards single-player story-rich games. These games offer me relaxation, inspiration for my other pursuits, and a fulfilling sense of achievement.

I tend to avoid cluttering my screen with numerous open chat applications, which is why I limit my time on platforms like Discord, primarily using them when necessary. If you wish to engage in conversation, this platform is where I feel most at ease, making it the ideal place to connect.

2. Activity

🔴 Working on Something
This might give you an understanding that when I'm not gaming, I'm likely occupied with activities beyond the gaming realm. I often engage in tasks such as managing trading cards or fine-tuning the playtime records of older games I've experienced but hadn't previously added to my Steam library. To illustrate, let's consider Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Although I had played it in the past, it wasn't part of my Steam collection until recently. Now, I'm gradually increasing the recorded playtime to approximate the hours I've invested in the game over time. This approach offers a rough overview of the games I've engaged with or am currently immersed in. It's worth noting that I don't apply this practice to games I've never played before. Therefore, if you happen to notice a collection of idling games on my profile, it's likely that I'm in the process of aligning these stats to accurately represent my gaming history.

🟠 Farming Steam Cards
This entails my engagement in the practice of collecting Steam cards for games I've newly acquired or gained through giveaways. Once I've completed the card-farming, I generally revert to my initial status. During this period, my attention is directed towards activities beyond the Steam platform. I'm open to interacting with any messages that come my way, so don't hesitate to reach out and DM me.

🟢 Playing a game
No matter the activity at hand, my choices vary. On occasion, I engage in cooperative or online gaming sessions alongside my wife. However, my preference predominantly leans toward single-player ones. Additionally, I occasionally team up with my Steam friends for cooperative gameplay, either due to an engaging storyline or whatever my wife and I prefer to play together. A prime example of this is the Borderlands franchise. At times, you might spot me playing non-Steam games, an indicator that I'm immersed in gameplay on my Switch or PlayStation. While I gravitate toward PC gaming most of the time, other platforms also capture my attention.

3. Reviews

My journey in gaming began back in 1996, and since 2019, I've taken a dedicated approach to crafting reviews. While I don't claim perfection, I hold a deep desire to continue learning and growing. The world of games captivates me, and expressing my thoughts about them through writing brings me immense satisfaction.

For me, the narrative within games is paramount. However, when a game manages to capture my interest across a substantial portion, I often find myself pursuing every achievement it has to offer. Lately, I've embraced the challenge of completing games to a 100% achievement status, as this accomplishment instills a strong sense of fulfillment. I do make exceptions when a game proves extensive or boasts infinite replayability. In such cases, I'll share my initial thoughts and impressions in a review after investing a few hours, and if necessary, I'll amend my review as my experience progresses.

Reviewing games has evolved into a cherished hobby and passion of mine. I find immense satisfaction in discussing my insights about a game after dedicating a few hours to it. My aim is to share these thoughts with fellow gamers who are contemplating a purchase. Importantly, my reviews are rooted in genuineness; I hold no affiliations with developers that might influence my writing. Every piece I compose is infused with an authentic and optimistic perspective, particularly for the games I personally choose to immerse myself in.

Disclaimer:
My wife and I are not collaborating with any other organization concerning games/reviews, and most definitely, we're not getting paid to write them. If someone claims otherwise, consider that as false information.

What games I like
6. Games

I remember that my very first PC game has been Cossacks: European Wars back in 2001. Before that, I remember playing Super Mario Bros on Sega Genesis console and Super Mario World - Arcade in 1996. It's a while back, but gaming has always been my passion.

Back in my youth I used to love city builder games like Transport Tycoon Deluxe and ever since I've loved being able to influence the terrain and build large scale buildings or bases. RTS like Warcraft 3, Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle-Earth II, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology and Empire Earth have been my all time favorite. As I grew older, I started enjoying other types of games, but strategy games have always been my first go to in my youth.

As I turned 15, I've developed a passion for MMORPG's and I've started playing everything, from World of Warcraft, to Aion, Lineage 2, Perfect World, Guild Wars 2, Blade & Soul and Archeage. Later in 2014, after discovering the update made in League of Legends, I've decided to give League a try, where I've spent a great amount of time in the game, only to retire in 2018.

Today I play pretty much everything that is single-player, unless I play something co-op or multiplayer with my wife. I spend a lot of time in single-players as I feel a sense of reward accomplishing them.

My favourite genres are:

Turn-Base Strategy (E.g. XCOM, Civilizations, Crusader Kings)
Strategy (E.g. Mount & Blade Bannerlord II, Spellforce, Company of Heroes)
Simulations (E.g. Cities: Skylines, The Sims, Anno)
Action - RPG (E.g. Dying Light, Metro, Dishonored)
Action - Adventure (E.g. Shadow of Mordor/War, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs)
RPG (E.g. Dragon Age, Divinity Original Sin, Mass Effect)
Adventure (E.g. A Plague Tale Innocence, Tomb Raider, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice)

I could go with this list on and on, but I believe you get the picture. I love playing pretty much anything that I lay my hands on and have on my wishlist. I have now a pretty big backlog and I plan on playing all my games one by one, especially franchise I've not yet played and I have A LOT of them.

7. Final words

Well, that's a glimpse of me. While I could delve into more details about my identity and activities, I don't want to take up too much of your time. I trust I've conveyed a decent sense of who I am and what interests me. If you're curious about the games I play and my other pursuits, I invite you to explore my profile. Given its length, I appreciate your effort if you've perused it and found it appealing – thank you!

By the way, I'm currently embarked on a mission to achieve 100% completion in most of my games, marking them as truly finished before moving on to the next. You'll recognize a game's conclusion when I also craft an extensive review, which tends to be quite comprehensive. Sometimes, I end up with a surplus of installed games, struggling to complete any of them. Nonetheless, I'm committed to circling back to these titles once I sense my collection has grown a tad overwhelming. 😅

Feel free to contact me via chat or leave me a message on my profile, explaining your reason for adding me. This gesture encourages me to accept your invitation and provides insight into where to place you within my categories. I take pleasure in maintaining an organized Steam presence and understanding the origins of those who connect with me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! 🙂
