Super engaging story and legacy generator, where the basic premise is assembling a party of heroes on either one of the many pre-made, fully fleshed out campaigns, or on a semi-randomly generated campaign made from various pre-made scenarios. Along the way you can recruit new heroes, or meet up with old heroes you've played in previous campaigns, with their equipment and most of their abilities and levels from before. There's a bit of a time management and resource management loop, some crafting, and tiny bit of a city builder element too. The game also lets you make you characters queer, including making them gay/lesbian, or even trans/non-binary.

To keep it short, the game is amazing but I can't really recommend it or the sequel once that game comes out simply because they've had the audacity to continue to release paid DLC when the sequel's release date is pretty much right around the corner. If you don't have this game wait for the sequel to come out and decide for yourself if buying the new game is worth it, especially since it will inevitably have at least 10 paid DLCs each costing about 10-20 USD or if the first game is better either overall or at the very least for your preference based on what the new one offers plus it's DLC.

Paradox, I love your games, I f-ing despise your business model.
