....BORING Thought it would be fun like X4 but it's a snoozer for me.

mediocre game requiring way too much time to complete
pros
- cool battles, turrets and overall battle system
- high level of customization
cons
- "effectiveness" mean - you always go with cube surrounded by armor plates
- dead universe where nothing ever happen and you alone in the vast emptiness
- timed scripted events which trigger in your "current" sector from time to time
- UI is a pain in every window and every activity, authors either never played their own game or love to suffer
- few mods try to fix the problems, but they become broken way too fast because of bad scripting architecture requiring you to put into mods huge amounts of original code just to fix one line, supporting such mods become quite a pain.
- slow game development, in two past years we've got one dlc and auto-research (not in best form)
- developing factories and building production chains is near impossible because of bad UI not giving you enough information and bad design overall

This is my go to about once a year, it can be slow calm tactical steady building of a galactic empire
