Being Linux the most stable Kernel on the world and being GNU/Linux the most stable and secure Operative Systems in the world, there is no chance such a wonder can't be used for gaming.

Microsoft has made a desktop monopoly on OS for over 20 years, forcing hardware manufacturers and computer brands to focus their products to be used with Windoze.

However, most game consoles, super computers, servers, embedded devices, smart and mobile devices in the world use POSIX based OS such as BSD, Linux or similar kernels.

Being so, is a shame that game publishers make games for Mac OSX, PS4, Wii, iOS or Android and not make ports for Linux.

The only way to make publishers aware of Linux as a profitable target platform is to be there. To shout out loud and make a lot of noise.

There are several ways the Linux Gaming Community can help attracting attention to game publishers and game developers.

1 - Encourage the use of game engines that can compile to Linux
2 - Encourage developers to port and compile for Linux
3 - Show game publishing companies that we are a profitable market
4 - Make popular the "No Tux, No Bux" Steam Tag on Windoze only games
5 - Make noise on Discussion Forums and Support; ask for Linux versions
6 - Encourage other people to use Linux and to use Steam
7- Show everybody the thousands of amazing games for Linux
8 - Encourage Indie developers to target Linux communities
9 - Demand to hardware manufacturers Linux controllers for their devices
10 - Use Linux! There are thousands like me with very high tech lives that use no Microsoft or Apple products AT ALL.

Finally, you need yourself to be convinced. Linux gaming is amazing and we can provide a MUCH BETTER, SECURE and STABLE software platform than Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or Apple. Linux as a gaming console is a hidden paradise for all; developers, gamers, publishers and hardware manufacturers.

Why? How can I assert such a bold statement?
The International Space Station (IIS) uses Debian Linux, my 5 year old child and my mom as well, the best super computers in the world use Linux, most servers in the world use Linux, each single Android user uses Linux, most scientific and academic institutions use Linux, several governments around the world use Linux, most security and embedded devices use Linux.

There are good reasons. But desktop users and gamers have never been aware of such a thing and for over 2 decades, Linux has been seen as everything BUT a gaming platform.

This needs to change.
