I don't know what it is with this game. Maybe the fact, that you spawn naked with nothing than a torch and a rock. Or just the vastness of the design and the Huge map with different possibilities. Maybe it's just because it takes less storage than any other game on your drive, which has such stunning graphics and beautiful animations as rust does. The Gane became bigger and bigger through the years from its release, creating a huge community of toxicity, kindness and happiness. When you run into some random players they are often really toxic, verbal and brutal, especially to nakeds who just ran across the whole map, to find a place to build and to be safe. I think rust is one of the biggest and best games ever created and has a huge community supporting it. The only issues it has is the amount of the servers it offers. There are way too less official servers for the number of players. Because when servers get wiped (restarted and deleting everything creating a new random map) and you're not fast enough to join, you sometimes have to wait more than half an hour to begin playing. And when you finally joined you get f*cked in the a** by players with guns who joined as one of the first. Secondly, Facepunch decided to change the sounds, what I can't retrace, because when I hear someone running past me or chopping wood, the sounds are the same. No matter in which direction I look. And thirdly and last Facepunch has to optimize its game, because I had many friends who game crashed while playing. After all they had only 8 GB's of ram and 16 gigs are recommended. Rust is really CPU, GPU and ram loading and you also need an SSD to load faster, so you can start playing faster. I would only recommend buying it when you have the fitting specs otherwise, it will be really annoying when the game crashes while playing. And you should have the nerves to play it, not getting scared every time someone runs past you. It's one of my favourites and should be yours too. ;)

I can't relate to the hate people give this game. Outstanding visuals, music and storytelling. People are just demanding too much from the devs. Such a game can't be perfect for everyone. But for me an absolute banger. It's an absolute gem and I can only recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it yet.
