No random friend requests please. I generally only add people from Removed Games Collectors, people with many thousands of games to peek at purchase history on activity feed, or people I know elsewhere (feel free to comment if I should know ya from elsewhere).

Apart from peeking at the activity feed every now and then, I generally do not use Steam's community features.

I get spammed with random friend requests from people I don't know and typically have full queue (200 incoming requests).

Steam client:
-Can't login to Steam client on fresh install if too many licenses owned (appinfo request times out, restarts, infinite loop). Have to frontload userdata from existing install or permanently locked out from account.
-Download queue scheduler randomly breaks and goes into infinite loop spamming content log with state 0x2000e every second necessitating force close
-Steam Deck can't boot in offline mode if Proton 10 is installed (appmanifest_3658110.acf in steamapps) and complains about invalid app cache, but logs in offline anyway if selecting user from user picker. Removing Proton 10 manifest allows offline boot as normal. Issue appeared in 2026.
-Achievement/stats have high latency or timeout in online mode, causing games to stutter or crash waiting on Steamworks API call response. Steamwebhelper can also crash and take out the game with it depending on game.
