This game broke the 4th wall and my heart. </3

OneShot is very story driven and ranges from a delicate to an anxiety-inducing storyline. Its beauty shines through both the art and the music. The sprites are neatly done and Niko's (the main character) dream sequences are charming watercolour pieces of art! The music is beautifully haunting and always fits the atmosphere as well. ❤

So it kinda goes like this: It starts with Niko in this eerie dim-lit bedroom AND then we embark on this crazy quest AND we bump into a demonic ram along the way AND I make my little cat-person ride the roomba AND I start crying ever so often AND then other times I'm like HAHA funny cat-person AND this is now my favourite game AND you should play it. ◕‿◕

The less you know about this game, the better. After all, you only have OneShot, so you better not ruin it for yourself! =ටᆼට=
I can't wait to start drawing Niko, Alula, Calamus, Rue, Lamplighter & the others! They're all so cute!
Also there are 2 endings. I only found out because my friend told me soooo keep on playing! (^̮^)

I did love the original back in the day but the zombies are RIDONCULOUS!!! They're tougher now, which is great, however, headshots do jack sh*t now! Why Capcom, why???? In the original, the reason why you couldn't aim was because you COULDN'T F*CKING AIM! You were stuck in place and only able to aim at a 45 degree angle! It made sense if you couldn't headshot!!!! (although the shotgun "could" headshot if you were close enough but that's not the point).

In the remake you can freely aim anywhere on the stupid ass zombie BUT despite that your damage will be the same; head or feet or whatever! (>_<) It's so depressing since the zombies are REMARKABLY animated and they interact flawlessly with the environment: they can crawl on tables, fall from stairs, their limbs can be torn apart and more! I mean it's a tactic to basically shoot their knees as it stuns them! SOOO, headshots should at least do the most damage!!! It only makes sense! The only way to reliably one-shot zombies is to score a critical hit which BY THE WAY is RANDOMIZED!

The weird thing is ZOMBIES are literally the hardest enemy in the game!?!?!?!?!?!? Like f*cking pardon?

• Lickers? Just walk past them.
  
• Dogs? 3-4 shots and they're down.
  
• Mr. X? He's so easy to dodge and you're safe in certain areas anyway!
  
• The sewer monsters? Annoying but easy to dodge once you know the pattern.
  
• Ivy zombies? Tough but you don't want to kill them only stun them.
  
• Boss fights? ARE A JOKE.. in comparison to zombies!

And yet zombies have no weak points. (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻ It's no wonder the RPD is the hardest part of the game. dsjkfhsdkjhgskjhg THESE ZOMBIES ARE DRIVING ME F*CKING NUTTY!!!

I hate the zombies with a passion... but the game itself is *Chef's Kiss* ( ˘ ³˘)♥

There's a nice blend of realism and classic Resident Evil ridiculousness. The story sort of wavers between scary and stupid, but I'm ultimately OK with that. The gameplay is incredible, and that's what counts. The entirety of the police station (in both the first and second run) is one of the best experiences I've had playing a survival horror game - especially when the infamous Tyrant "Mr. X" appears. After the police station, each playthrough seems to wrap up rather quickly. It would be nice if the rest of the game were as fleshed out as the police station, but it's still loads of fun anyway! Ammo is scarce and limited inventory space is hot trash making every time you step out of a save room, daunting. ʘ︵ʘ

In conclusion, I experienced something that changed my life... Resident Evil 2 influenced the way I will live for the rest of my life and not just in some half-assed way like any other game would. It legitimately moved me to my core to make certain decisions, for better or for worse. In that sense, no other game can compare, as no other game has provided an equivalent reaction on my part.
