I use a lot of mods in my game. I'm quite new to the game (only been playing a few weeks) and pretty much added a mod each time the game put a roadblock in my path that I didn't like...

Here's my list:

Last but not least. My favorite mod ever. Keep your creatures save, and stored away untill you use them:

Stackable foundations. The only way to build a flat, level base and the only way to make anything decent.

That's a feature of both S+ and SS too though, so no need for a seperate mod for it if you use either of those. (Just throwing this out there for any new players who visit this thread for mod ideas)

Hi, these are my single player mods:

SS or S+ - Ark without a building mod is a nightmare (you can change stack sizes and being able to pick up structures without any mod tho); I don't really like the advanced automation stuff but these mods give insane QoL;

Awesome spyglass - Very customizable and the vanilla spyglass is utterly garbage... I would be ok with a crappy spyglass in the beggining and a decent late game one(in a game with laser cannons you'd think a decent binoculars would be a thing bot no...).

EZ mindwipes - I don't like the easy recipes but i hate unlearning all my engrams when all i need is a stat reset for crafting....

Dino storage V2 - Better pokeballs and some insane QoL like it automaticly pokeball and store newborn dinos and you can make so dinos produce when stored (eggs, poop, ahat paste, etc) with helps a lot with lag in big bases.

I don't use stacking mods because i don't want to change weights but i increase stacking a lot.. Like 10k everything except things that should expire fast (up to 50 tho).

No. Classic flyers is known to cause over-spawning issues. On Ragnarok this mod will spawn hundreds of wyverns. Use speedy flyers instead.

So I've heard snippets about this occasionally. Just haven't bothered to investigate. Wondering if it's worthwhile, in the end. Dont want to download mouse software to make buttons do special things (I dont even use my extra numpad on the side of my mouse) and certainly not to modify key behavior... that seems like it could easily cause issues elsewhere.

Think itd work as well as the mod? The mod is frankly spectacular; handles things like Direbear running and C-spinning flawlessly, e.t.c. (haven't tested wingsuits though...) It also has never fallen out of date or had any issues whatsoever I've noticed. Also pretty easy for bobs to throw a mod ID into a box on their server software.

I'd say unless you're already into modding keys may as well just use the mod.

u can use it for remap keys, or maping sequences of keys, etc.. its just really easy script.. and even those scripts are already created and u can d/l them) ..basic what u will find almost anywhere are autorun, autosprint, autoattack, auto item transfer - for feding babies, etc.. its not mouseclicker, but more key remapper.. and u dont risk issues after Ark update, when any mod can be broken, or colide with other mods / vanilla game.

and ofc: at begining of your script u can define "STOP / RUN" key
Jaggid Edje Sep 9, 2020 @ 8:03am
I use a simple auto hotkey for auto-run as well, and the nice thing is that the "stop autorunning" key is W...so no need to remember extra key presses.

It trumps a mod for being able to do it for a few reasons:
1. It works on ANY game that doesn't have autorun built in where W is forward movement, and
2. It works on ALL servers for Ark...you don't need to only play on a server with a special autorun mod installed.

Just my 2 cents.
Noeat Sep 9, 2020 @ 8:35am
even its great for other games too.. for example Dark Souls have input lag from mouse buttons.. then u map mouse buttons to key for actions what u wanna do with mouse clicks :) ..and it works great.

and.. whole GPDSCK ("gamepad emulator" is writen in AHK)
