As someone who just recently got into the Persona franchise... My only regret is not playing this masterpiece sooner...
The story has a firm grasp on your heartstrings the whole time and takes you on a roller coaster of a wide assortment of emotions throughout your journey.

Its one of the few games that managed in the span of one hour, to make me go through a wide range of INTENSE emotional swings...
From unbridled anger one second.
To complete emptiness and despair the next.
Followed by a wave of calmness and acceptance.
Before being showered with overwhelming Joy.
Only for the feelings of anger to return, but with new passion and new feelings of confusion and betrayal...

Those who have played know what moment I'm referring to all too well, and some of my friends struggled to get through it themselves...

But the moments of story like this are just only one part of the game...
The soundtrack is perfectly catered to every situation and always helps to draw you in and keep you engaged.
All while the combat is intuitive and rewarding for understanding the mechanics.

Its feels much less like a game, and rather an actual adventure with friends.

Oh. Also I almost forgot to add... Chie is best girl and I will not accept any slander.

Persona 5 Tactica is a fairly decent tactics game when it comes down to it... Unfortunately it is an Awful Persona game...

In my opinion, Tactica misses the mark on basically every category when it comes to a Persona game.

Music
Through the 21.7 hours I've played at the time of review, none of the ost has stood out, and I don't remember any songs from the game...
With Royal and strikers I can jam out to nearly any song in the OST, But with tactica nothing is memorable or catchy... its kind of just ambient noise

Characters
Erina and Toshiro feel very bland and 2 dimensional in comparison to characters like Sophia and Zenkichi from Strikers.
The Phantom Thieves themselves feel very watered down due to the minimal banter and dialogue between the cast.
The only character I actually feel stood out is Lavenza. She was the only character that actually felt normal.

Personas and Skill Trees
How do i even start with this...
They completely removed the Wild Card's ability to swap personas mid battle and replaced it with allowing every party member to equip 1 additional persona... Unfortunately each persona can only have 2 abilities (1 unique and 1 inherit slot for fusing)... and because you can only have 3 party members at a time and cannot swap characters mid mission... It really limits your options...
With the skill trees they removed bonuses with bonds in favour of the skill tree... which allows you to spend and respec skills to gain different buffs and upgrade abilities...

Gameplay
The game play is fine and was quite enjoyable through the start of the game. I began to quickly lose interest when i reached the 2nd kingdom though. I was expecting new enemies and mechanics but all it was was just re-skinned and buffed enemies from the first kingdom... The combat got extremely repetitive as well basically just encouraging you to abuse knockdowns and all out attacks to complete missions...
