IMPORTANT!! The "Getting Started" quest is BUGGED, it will not complete correctly after activating the gate in the cave and teleporting to the ark. Once you're on the ark, go into admin mode and run the command "/completequest gaterepair", then you can talk to Esther.

If for some reason you still don't have outpost access after this, run the command "/outpost".

IN ADDITION: If you pick Vanilla Ship, sometimes it will not repair properly. If this happens, run the command "/spawnitem shipT2". This will repair the ship, but the fuel hatch still will not work. To rectify this, run the command "/spawnitem apexfuelhatch", and place the item on your ship. You should be good to go from there.

Check to make sure that you are actually subscribed to all the mods in both collections by scrolling through the lists. Often, even though you have hit "Subscribe to All," a handful of mods will have been missed.

Regardless of how good your computer is, you will experience occasional lag spikes with this collection. Starbound has a ram limit hard-coded that cannot be overcome by any mods that currently exist. If your game stops booting one day, first try uninstalling and reinstalling all mods. Steam Workshop had an update early in the year where sometimes the game won't recognize you have mod dependencies installed. Fastest way to fix this is just redownload everything.

Also this will not run on 32bit mode LOL.

Is this even stable to play? Very much so, actually! Crashes are infrequent and far between, and I've weeded out the more problematic mods over the last year+ and added every patch mod I could find on the workshop. You will have to get used to your Starbound logs being filled with errors, though.
