Operation Bagration - Panovo (280 km South of Kursk) was part of the Soviet counter-offensive following the Battle of Stalingrad. Commander Walter Weiß commands the 2nd Army - You are part of 6th Army infantry Corps Deployed in East Ukraine. You are facing the Soviet 39th Field Army led by General Ivan Ivanovich Maslennikov.

The 6th Infantry has fallen back to strategic positions -

You are defending Hill 18: A Strategic point overlooking the town of Panovo - Hill 18 is the highest point in the surrounding region. Panovo is situated 280 km South of Kursk and has seen heavy fighting in recent weeks. Reconnaissance suggests the Soviets are massing troops and are preparing an attack.

Due to poor weather conditions, logistics have stalled and this has allowed for the Soviets to capture surrounding areas. We expect them to attack from all sides in waves. Be prepared to support multiple positions.
