Description
OMG I CAN'T EQUIP TWO PISTOLS

The mod responsible for primary Pistols is Primary Secondaries or True Primary Secondaries. These are not my mods. If something doesn't work there, I cannot help you.

Things have always worked fine when I ran tests with just the Akimbo Class + requirements active. Which means some other mod you have interferes with it. It's up to you to figure out which.

AKIMBO CLASS

This mod adds the Akimbo Class, built around Dual Wielded Pistols.

Akimbo is acquired and trained the same way as any other XCOM class. The lore is that an exile Reaper was sheltered by Avenger, and in gratitude he provides training in dual wielding.

Akimbo features two and a half skill trees with custom perks, some of which are completely unique.

Akimbo is intended to be a "carrry" class, one that outputs a lot of damage, but requires support from other classes in order to unlock its full potential. It plays a lot like vanilla Ranger without concealment and with more range, and has the same stat progression.

Akimbo lacks utility of other classes, since both primary and secondary weapon slots are occupied by pistols, and massively benefits from supportive abilities that provide cover destruction, extra actions, bonus damage or shred enemy armor.

KNOWN ISSUES

To best of my knowledge, none of my mods have anything to do with reload disappearing. Please stop poking me about it.

1) A problem with class intro was reported: when you try to promote the soldier to Akimbo for the first time, the game softlocks, and you get a black screen and can't do anything. If that happens, you can get around it by changing "+b HasClassMovie=true" to "+bHasClassMovie=false" in the "..\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1494158555\Config\XComClassData.ini".

2) Spinning Reload will play its animation before the soldier takes the shot that spends the last Ammo. Cosmetic problem only.

3) Dirty Kick currently consumes one action point even after gold move. This is not intentional, to be fixed.

The mod doesn't work when I try to equip star wars pistols from a star wars mod. I made sure not to add the same pistols in primary and secondary slots but no change. Game always crashes afterward whenever I promote someone to this class and leave the armory :(

It did inform though? Primary Secondaries or True Primary Secondaries are broken for you, probably by another mod.

Hi! I’m having a problem with your mod. I’ve installed all the required dependencies, but I can’t equip pistols in the primary weapon slot—even though they work fine in other slots. I’m out of ideas on how to fix this. Any suggestions?

It's not the responsibility of the steam workshop nor of the mod authors to sort out your broken mod list. Most mods are made by amateurs in their spare time as a hobby. You pay nothing for using them, so you don't really have a leg to stand on to complain about their quality. As for your issues, all I can say is they are not caused by this mod, because it's simply a soldier class mod that makes no changes to soldier equipment rules.

I'm gonna take true primary and secondaries beta and laser mod off and see if that fixes this.
