[WOTC] Iridar's Akimbo Class

A great, fun class, although possibly a bit overtuned in the melee track - a focused Akimbo melee fighter outdamages any other melee class in the base game, though you have to be careful given their lack of a Parry or Untouchable equivalent. Still, it doesn't break the game in half, especially if you're already using powerful mod classes, and it's just so much fun to use. Thumbs up in my primary and secondary slots!

wont let me equip any other primary besides the revolver. I was hoping to have a captain rex, but it wont even let me reskin the revolver..

Any ideas?

I clean out my entire mod list and only enabled this mod and those that are required for this to work. Still ran into the same issue. I genuinely do not know what is going on.

I have both mods installed, and I am running into the issue where the pistol is not showing up primary, only secondary.

You need a Primary Secondaries mod for that, see the list of required mods.

I cant seem to get them to wield pistol in the primary weapon slot. It is lock in with a crossbow? And the crossbow is hidden while the character is in a pose holding a hidden rifle.

I am running this with the Star Wars mods and Choose My Class. Akimbo class shows up in the mod options for CMC as not disabled and the class still does not show up when promoting soldiers. Does anyone have any suggestions?

on the topic of primary weapon i'm having an issue where the class refuses to let me equip a primary pistol or weapon in that slot for that matter, im either stuck with the default or no weapon

I occasionally see comments about losing overwatch when using this class. The issue, which I'm not 100% sure of, is that when messing with your loadout the order in which you select their weapons matters.

If you select their secondary first, and then primary, the game doesn't consider the soldier to be wielding a primary weapon it appears, and thus it only shows a "secondary" shooting option even though it does fire both weapons.

The solution to fix this is to select your primary weapon and then secondary so it re-recognizes your primary weapon and the overwatch option returns.

Hmm not sure why but my pistols aren't showing visually (no problem don't really care)
But it shows my pistols have no ammo, and I can't reload either (so can't shoot) and pistol whip does no damage not sure why. I have all the dependencies

For anyone trying to use this mod with LWOTC and is having issues with mobility being decreased, the problem is LWOTC itself. In XComLW_Overhaul.ini change each pistol weight=1 to 0. Also you might want to enable the line "DISABLE_LW_PISTOL_SLOT=true" as it probably isn't necessary

The mod doesn't work when I try to equip star wars pistols from a star wars mod. I made sure not to add the same pistols in primary and secondary slots but no change. Game always crashes afterward whenever I promote someone to this class and leave the armory :(

It did inform though? Primary Secondaries or True Primary Secondaries are broken for you, probably by another mod.

It's not the responsibility of the steam workshop nor of the mod authors to sort out your broken mod list. Most mods are made by amateurs in their spare time as a hobby. You pay nothing for using them, so you don't really have a leg to stand on to complain about their quality. As for your issues, all I can say is they are not caused by this mod, because it's simply a soldier class mod that makes no changes to soldier equipment rules.

how come then ever since i downloaded this mod my weapons are now stuck to one type of class instead of a full library of firearms and my guns are missing on my SPARK

This is a soldier class mod. It has nothing to do with your problems with weapons. And yes, it was tested and works fine.

i installed an addon to my weapon and swapped the secondary pistol out and now the primary has a big floating silencer 3 feet in front of it. was this mod bug tested even?

when i research laser tech a mod the guns swap option is gun if I unequip the primary gun it's gun forever. just uses hands now. Please post us a fix?
its very much better than the ranger, putting stocks on the revolvers and getting trickshot in the skill tree means it will ALWAYS, without fail, do damage per turn, it cant miss nor be unable to hit someone, it has a 100% hit rate, and with bullet time you can do it TWICE in a single turn, along with base concealment allowing it to position itself without much worry and a super high mag size, this is much closer to the wotc faction in terms of power, to me this mod is insanely busted in a way only mods can be, I love it btw

It's balanced to be around the same power level as vanilla Ranger.
I wish there was more class mods like this that arent super complex and trying to be super over the top, like, say what you will about the balancing (this mod is ridiculously busted) its just really simple and does its job effectively, no giant skill tree, no over the top animations and cosmetics, doesnt feel like a 4th faction, it just is a class and a cool one at that

I have this mod and all the dependencies that go with them, but I can't change the primary pistol. What could I be doing wrong? I messaged on the True Primary Secondaries Beta, but I don't think the mod author is active anymore.
I tried the non beta version with no change.

But you can have soldiers of Akimbo class alongside soldiers with proficiency classes.

All soldier class mods are compatible in the sense that you can use them together. If you're asking whether the Akimbo will magically switch to the proficiency class perk system if you use both together, the answer is no.
