FAQ

Do i need to start a new campaign for this?

Yes!

I only see the first 4 ability rows and can't scroll in the promotion screen!

DEACTIVATE THE FOLLOWING MODS SINCE THEY ARE ALREADY INTEGRATED IN THIS MOD

  • [WOTC] Detailed Soldier Lists
  • [WOTC] New Promotion Screen by Default
  • View Locked Skills - Wotc

After that delete %User\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config

Will custom class mods work with this?
Yes

What about Faction Heros, SPARKS, Psi Soldiers?
They are not touched by this mod and should work normally

My soldier keep getting promoted to basegame/other classes?
Its a strange bug cause by the config system for some people.
Use the mod [WOTC] Disable Any Class GTS Redux and disable all classes but UniversalSoldier in the ingame mod options.

I have a lot of plugins and the promotion screen skips specializations when scrolling
Use [WoTC] Row-Based Scrolling Speed Wotc
or consider using the second wave options to limit the available specs.

What does CV/MG/BM/CG/LS mean?
Conventional, Magnetic, Beam, Coil and Laser tier

Mod compatibility
Most mods should be compatible. If you have an issue let me know.
Other Overhaul mods like MINT and A Better Barracks obviously clash in some areas.

Known incompatibilities:
- [WOTC] Detailed Soldier Lists
- [WOTC] New Promotion Screen by Default
- View Locked Skills - Wotc
- "Configure Upgrade Slots" doesnt work cause this mod set all slots to 3
- "Hack Plus" leads to insane high hacking stats

A note on the beta status
This mod will change frequently.
Therefor it might be needed that you rebuild you soldiers.
Use the command RPGO_RebuildSelectedSoldier for that purpose.

Im not the biggest fan of the changes for the weapon attachments, it makes that resistance order that enhances them kinda useless except for the repeater, can I remove/disable that option from this? Because other than that, I really like it.

Any obvious reason that Commanders Choice option isn't letting me choose anything when they get promoted to squaddie? I also have Origins seleced...but I don't get to choose anything at all when they get their first promotion.

Thanks for this. Cant remember the last time I was so excited for another play through! :)

If you're having issues not being able to select CONTINUE after choosing specializations, remove the COMMANDER'S CHOICE mod. I finally got it working!

Unable to get starting abilities screen with non-humans like the skirmisher and Asari units. Anyone have any ideas?
SinnerSmile Jan 31 @ 10:41am
Solved it: to add psiamps to specific RPGO classes - find "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1280477867\Config\XComRPG.ini" and for every class (or the ones you are interested in) alter SpecializationMetaInfo to include psiamp.

Example:
SpecializationMetaInfo = (bUseForRandomClasses=true, AllowedWeaponCategories=(sword, combatknife, psiamp), InventorySlots=(eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon), bMelee=true, iWeightPrimary=1)

Note: some classes only specify a weapon for a primary slot in this meta info, if you want to also add psiamp to those - add a "eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon" into InventorySlots as shown above.

Hi! Mod's a blast, obviously :) I'm trying to run it with psionics ex machine and I was a fool enough to use it with the RPGO weapon restriction second wave, and Im also using a bunch of additional RPGO specialisation mods. Now 30 hours into campaign - I realise that none of my fighters can equip the psiamp... how do I fix it? Am I screwed?

@Wrath - In the six months you were away from the game, quite a few mods will have had updates. Some mods may also have new requirements that they didn't have when you last played. I think it would be worth checking to see if there are any missing mods that you didn't need in the past.

Hello guys, Im having a little bit a trouble here
Im back to modded xcom after 6 months off and I litterally touched nothing since my last playthrough and now, in RPGO, a LOT of skills are displayed with a "missing template for ability none" like pretty much all the first skills of all the specialisations.
Any idea how I coud fix this? I've not added any mod since the last time I played and it was displayed perfectly
It's litterally gamebraking rigth now because all my playstyle is based aroung RPGO
It can't be a mod conflict as I have not added anything

@Malichai
Pretty sure XCOM 2 has only ever counted kills. Not like EU/EW that gave XP for seeing UFOs etc.
