CS:GO Review
Valve doesnt really patch this game at all. Anti-cheating doesn't really do much so catching hackers relies heavily on the community reports. Server tickrate is poor. Matchmaking is full of smurf accounts at the moment of this review.

When you think about it, it's really amazing how it's still the best competetive shooter on the market.

Briefly: Bad pc-port.

This game is advertised about how difficult it is. I do not understand this hype. Has no one ever tried to change difficulty in other games? Just hit the hardest difficulty in every single game and boom you get the challenge. Even in call of duty. Yes, it is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good feeling to beat a boss after hours of sweat and tears. But you can get the same exact feeling and difficulty in all games. Even more, you can always try to play with only one hand or something else to add challenge if you feel like.

Poor controls, stupid camera control and autolock-system - all things which should not be in a pc release. This is main reason why I give it thumps down at this point, if these were fixed I would have waited until I had completed the whole game. How is this game any different if you would play it with emulator? honestly, I do not know. You have to press backspace or esc to advance in menu - developers propably had fun while writing that code. I'm not amused.

This game does not seem to have particularly good storyline either, atleast based on other reviews and my current experience which is fairly limited to be honest, but I will update this review if I feel I need to. Not amazed by enemy/boss design either, but what do I know when I have only completed couple of the first ones. This paragraph does not count in my review because of my lack of experience in the game.

Graphicwise and soundwise game is beautiful mostly. I do like the style but technically it sucks, to put it bluntly, atleast when compared to other pc titles.

Early Access Review
To sum this up: I have played this game a long before it ever came out on steam. A way back when germans started with K98 bolt action rifle. I had big high hopes for this. I was disapointed.
Game has moved quite a bit in more casualish way, I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing - but for me personally I would prefer more realistic style of game.

Now this review more in depth... bear with me.

Game used to be a whole lot interesting back when germans started with bolt action rifle faced with american semi-automatic one. This created more diversity between factions making germans lurking from the distance and sniping rushing americans who would attempt to get into close range fights.

Red Orchestra + real-time strategy would make an excellent, if not perfect, game in my mind. That's how I imagined over an year or two ago when I first played the game. I imagined that they would add more factions as priority, russians and brits, to give an example. More factions would add more depth to the RTS side of game and also more interesting battles for FPS players where you wouldn't face always the same weapons.

Then I imagined they would make damage model more realistic. To make semi-automatic rifles as useful as they were back in the day. All bullethits should have an permanent effect on the character in my opinion. And to make movement and shooting more smooth - to make game more realistic and immersive, you should make movement feel like you are in control of the character.

I would also thought that they would make games much bigger, increasing the player count per match. Again, to make game feel more immersive and actionpacked. 64 player games would be great I thought. The sight of over 20 germans climbing from trench shouting furiously and charging towards you - epic.

They did not do any of this, instead the game nowadays is just like very simple RTS combined with worse version of battlefield 1942 to me. Remainder of very promising and interesting consept it once was. They also made content much harder to reach by playing for free- luckily I had all my snipers and tank drivers still available, which would nowadays require hundreds or thousands of hours of gaming to unlock. So I don't feel the passion of the developers in this, not when I did when I first played this. Instead I feel like they are developing this just for the audience / money. Not that there is nothing wrong with money. I might be wrong and this certainly is just an opinion.

I do understand that they listened to their players, being quiet all the time just happily and ignorantly awaiting for my dream game to complete. So they went with the loud majority band wagon. So I'm writing this review here, just to hope that a member of Reto-Moto happens to see this, goes to game designer and reminds him that there is also a group of players like me: who respect passion and innovation in games.

What can I say? I do know it's in development. But I greatly dislike the course of development, the route it's taking. Therefore I think giving this project thumps down is fairly reasonable. Thank you for reading this trough.

Rust is a unforgiving pvp survival sandbox
Rust will test your patience. It will test your ability to endure failure.
Rust rewards those who play the whole day through wee hours.
Not for the weak.

I'm eager to see what the future holds for this one. While it's safe to say that I've recently become familiar with the consepts of crafting and surviving in general - this game still offered a new and fresh experiense for me and I've already had dozens of hours fun time playing it.

However, there is still very much to wait for in terms of new content and bug fixing as well as anti-hacking. At this point of development I would say that it isn't worth its price unless you have good friends to play it with or if you would get a big discount for it.

EDIT:
Currently as of April 2017 there is a major hacker epidemic going on. And for that reason alone I can't recommend to buy this game currently. It has made the game literally unplayable for me.

EDIT-2:
July 2018 No more noticeable hacking. Development has been going in the right direction.
Rust is still a long way from a finished product but updates are flowing in constantly. At the current pace it seems that maybe after 2-3 years the game will finally be finished.
I can recommend the game again.
For casual players, I would wait until the game is complete. (Or if you have a good group to play it with)

Despite some of its issues such as mod incompatibility in multiplayer, Sid Meier's Civilization V still stands out being one of the best turn based strategy games.

EDIT: I would recommend waiting till discount because you can get it and it's DLC combined at 10€ (roughly 10-11$) almost from every sale now which is very good value. Game is still worth it at full price though.
I must also add that after G&K and BNW DLC packs have been released they are pretty much a must buy. Vanilla civilization (especially in multiplayer because no mod support, but most mods require DLC anyway so in many cases it doesn't matter) is almost unplayable after getting used to the great amount of content added. Especially the trading system is very good addition.

I've played Kerbal Space Program hundreds of hours before it came on Steam. I find it very rare these days to find a passionate developers who push their game successfully trough the early access phase but Squad did it. And they did so much more.

The feeling when your kerbal sets foot on Mun (=Moon) for the very first time is just priceless. Or when your first space station is finally complete after many painful dockings. It is moments like these that make this game truly magnificent on emotional level.

But on the sidenote I can see why this game might not suit everyone. Enjoying it requires some healthy curiosity and patience. Humor helps too.

Numer one military simulator game. The vast amount of scale and realism is incomparable. A great addition to Arma series, and definitely worth the money.

I dislike the futuristic theme, in my opinion ArmA 2 had better weapons, maps, vehicles etc. But fortunately there's a ton of mods out there that fix this problem.

It's nowhere near a perfect game. It's still a bit sluggish. It is notoriously heavy on the computer. Playing against AI is sometimes frustrating. To be honest if I were to rate it only as a game and without mods it would propably receive a 6 or 5 out of 10. But there's a ton of mods and gamemodes which make this game easily 9/10. And in the end there's really no competition when it comes to militarysims, ArmA is clear winner in my book.

I must say that if you are considering to buy this game I would suggest to wait until sales because usually price goes down drastically in every sale. I would also suggest to buy all the dlc as well; many mods use dlc weapons and you cannot pick them up unless you have dlc bought.
