Great mix of RTS and FPS gendre. It should be noted that the game does not have single player mode (atleast when I tried it). However in my opinion it's one of the best games out there to play with a group of friends.

Early Access Review
Charging 20$ for a game that feels like a bad source mod is a robbery, fair and square. The entertainment value of the product is solely dependant on the friends you are playing it with.
Bought it because I was provoked by friends.
Used the 'refund product' option for the first, and hopefully for the last time ever.

It offers reasonable amount of entertainment value for it's full price but I feel like the pricing has gone out of hand with blood DLC and stuff. Atleast for DLC, I would recommend waiting until sales before purchase.

I would no doubt recommend buying a total war game. As for should you buy this one, that depends on do you like the theme - if you don't care about it I would go with total war: warhammer instead as for now.

EDIT: I also strongly recommend to buy the War of the Chosen expansion
be aware if you are playing ironman and the game crashes you'll lose your save files

pretty solid overall, nothing special.

I would strongly recommend if you like tactics / light strategy / customization. I personally got more enjoyment from building the motherbase / unlocking stuff / researching / customization and leveling up the soldiers, missions seemed almost like a chore sometimes. Story is such a cliché but I guess that's how it's supposed to be - in fact I missed a bit those generic cutscenes from first XCOM of crew cheering when you shoot down your first ufo etc. But this new querilla theme is a nice change too. Sometimes I just feel like art team tried too hard with their space snakes and stuff, if you feel me.

At the time of writing this review, Witcher 3 is the best rpg I've ever played.
In Witcher 3 you'll get emotionally attached to characters, even in some sidequests. This is something so many RPGs today like Darksouls, Fallout and Skyrim for example got wrong. While those games are heavy on vast lore, the emotional links to the characters are either very weak or nonexistent. Witcher 3 does much better job with that.
On top of that you'll get overall feeling that your actions matter and can lead to drastic outcomes.
World is full of detail. There is so much stuff, and one could call this unnecessary but necessary detail, that maybe only one player out of every thousand will ever see, but for those who see it it can be a very memorable experience. For example there was a point in story where a certain important character was excecuted because of your actions in completely optional quest, and later after just randomly sailing through the seas trying to get to some island I found the body of this character. Or there are many points in the game where you can later find the characters you've influenced earlier on the game. Or you can stumble upon a small hassle in some completely irrelevant random place and if you'll intervene it would start a small sidequest, or sometimes even a entire sidequestline.
Speaking of random places, there is a lot of terrain and places you won't have to travel to, or no one tells or even hints you to go, but if you just happen to explore those places you can find something very interesting, even a start to a very interesting questline.
Combat is satisfying. Mechanics are simple yet hard to master.
Leveling and developing your character is fun and although there is not as much perks and options to choose from like in Skyrim or Fallout for example there is definitely enough of them. This is what I feel the game lacks in some sense, or there's a room for improvement would be a better choice of words as I really did not feel the need of more character development options while actually playing the game, after completing the game and comparing it to the skyrim I actually found it out, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Also I prefer their choice of emphasis on story and atmosphere. And don't get me wrong, the character development is still above average and I overall found the character development very enjoyable.
Graphics and soundtrack - top notch. Witcher 3 is one of the very few modern (especially AAA) games where there is actually a deep emotional atmosphere present. It just makes the game that much more immersive and memorable. Sometimes you can get completely carried away during the most mundane tasks such as a horse ride in wilderness, just listening the excellent ambient music and looking at the magnificent scenery. I still find myself sometimes listening to games soundtrack for almost an year after completing the game.

Content is just so good and fortunately there's a lot of it. I spent roughly 100 hours of game time on completing the base game, and I had pretty heavy focus on the main storyline. It's safe to say I didn't do even nearly all the sidequests and contracts available (as I later discovered when discussing the game with my friends). And DLC's will add even more - and one could argue even better content. Many of the most memorable experiences I had came from the DLC storylines. After completing base game and both DLC I'm at roughly 150hrs, still feeling like I have so much to do and experience when it comes to interesting side quests and exploring in general.

Solid city building game. Worth the money.

I kinda missed the micro management with factories / production from Sim City 2015 or Tropico 5 meaning that you could build individual production plants for resources; for example you could build (and upgrade) car factory and sell cars for huge profit, and if you had iron mine in that same city you wouldnt have to buy iron for cars. I felt like because of it building became more repetitive after a while, but maybe that's just me.

I got frustrated because I forgot to complete all the achievements while building the city, for example there is achievements like "have 90% of your city be sick" or something and those are near impossible to do in end game when you already got a big city. These achievements are also required to build wonders (or to "complete" the game) so watch out for them if you are going to buy this game.

Much more mods and better mod support than in Sim City 2015 or Tropico 5.

Solid tower defence game. And you can get it for almost free if you wait for sales or buy outside Steam. Incredibly fun with good friend in coop mode. Unfortunately multiplayer player count is limited to 2.

My experience playing this game is solely based on vanilla singleplayer sandbox mode.

I enjoyed Tropico 5 quite a bit. It's a bit different than CIties skylines but I would say that for me it has atleast the same entertainment value if not better. Tropico 5 was definitely better than EA's simcity. Nevertheless, I think Tropico 5 (or 4, more on that on the end of the review) is a must buy for everyone who like building games or economic games in general.
I must add that Tropico 5 is more difficult, atleast I found myself struggling with economy on my first two runs. This is because you rarely receive constant income like in other city building games, but instead you receive money when trade ships show up and buy your resources, and the income you get from a single ship is very irregular. For example one day you might receive 1k for selling bananas and weeks or months later when next ship arrives 10k for jewelry. And meanwhile you are constantly losing money to upkeep your production facilities.

Tropico 5 is quite solid actually, no bugs or anything that I've experienced. Only thing I was a bit annoyed about was that everytime autosave happened my game went to a loading screen and after that for some reason wanted to change my dynastys name, so I had to press cancel and second loading screen followed. But that can be avoided by reducing or disabling autosaves in options. Loading screens were also fairly short so I wasn't too bothered really.

It is quite common that Tropico 5 can be bought at discount, especially outside steam, but I can recommend it for full price as well if you like building games like I do. Many reviewers seem to say that Tropico4 is better, so check that out before you buy and make your own conclusions.

Very solid factory building game. You can feel the love and work behind it.
Factorio is already one of the best management games out there, if not the best.

In my opinion Endless Space is still better than Endless Legend.
Only thing negative about this game is that watching battles tends to get boring after a while, especially if you are used to strategy games where you can control your units in combat like me. But it's still much more fun than what they did in Endless Legend in my opinion.
