For strategy game maniacs such as myself I can recommend this at full price. However, if you are new to the gendre I would rather wait till discount or buy some other strategy game first. It should be noted though that I've only played multiplayer so my recommendation is solely based on that.
If roughly compared to other 4x strategy games I've played I would say it's better than Endless Legend but worse than Civilization V, and quite par on par with Endless Space. This is of course my personal opinion, and coming from someone who rarely touches single player aspect of strategy games and plays almost solely against friends in multiplayer.
The little experience I've had with AI is that it's somewhat repeative, stupid and predictable. For example if AI is defending a city it tends to charge trough the gates giving attacking player easy win. But this is very common for games (that's why I play almost solely against human opponents) and Age of Wonders still does better job with AI than for example Civilization V.

I remember playing it way back when it was just a flash game.. it was the best then and in my opinion it still is the best towerdefense game.

Out of hundreds of games I've played, strongest adrenaline rushes and funniest moments I've experienced happened while playing ArmA2. There are no games like it.
But I must give credit to the community. ArmA is nothing without it's modders and mission-makers.

Briefly: Worth the price. No mod support.

I think already the single player is worth paying the full price. The storyline itself ain't that innovative or special but it's working and it's very good entertainment. It is however the mood you get and the immersion that makes the single player aspect so great.

Online aspect of the game is pretty much what you would expect from it. I would have wished more variety from the gamemodes - now don't get me wrong, there is so much to do, but if you are someone who have a lot of time on their hands like me then you will eventually get bored - atleast if you play with random people, which I do not recommend. Heists are just the kind of variation I would like to see more in the future, a great addition to the game.

No support for mods - apart from making your own radio station - makes game short lasting however and this is a big minus. Especially when looking back the history of other gta-games; modding community was there already. Actually because of the lack of mod support I was seriously thinking about not recommending this game, but once I saw numerous other reviews already negative because of that I changed my mind. Saying that encrypting game data makes the game cheater free is total BS - most of the cheating tools are third party anyway as far as I know. There also exists lot of online games which include mod support and are cheater free. It's like putting the cookie jar on top of shelf and saying you can't touch it: all the good kids won't but does it really stop a cookie monster?

It offered 12 hours of entertainment for me. I'm more of an multiplayer game guy and I rarely ever touch on singleplayer games but this one I played trough in a summer and it was a damn good game. Never got bored during the game altough it was a bit repeative and it also had a nice darkish vibe to it that I really liked about. I would have prefered a more open enviroment instead of pipe like storyline but I don't complain as it still kept me very entartained. I will recommend for anyone, even at full price.

It's a decent sequel to the CoH 1. There might be many things to improve but if you can get this game for atleast 50% discount I will recommend it for sure. It is a unique and fun RTS experience, in my honest opinion the best if compared to other historical RTS-games.

Early Access Review
EDIT: It seems that unfortunately DayZ will never be the game I wanted it to be. Development is just taking too long. Dozens of similar mods have been developed meantime in ArmA3 with more content and better gameplay. And modders are making them for free. Hence I cannot recommend to buy DayZ standalone.

Old review:

I have played DayZ mod since summer of 2012 for at least a thousand hours and later tried dozens of different modifications of it such as epoch, overwatch, dayz+ and many else. I've made dozens of good friends from playing this game. I've spent many nights and dayz running on the vast forests of chernarus. When DayZ standalone was released I stayed up the whole night and I bought it on the same minute it was released on steam as so did many of my friends.

That being said I don't know why I haven't wrote a review yet. Maybe because I was so unsure can I unrecommend it. I must say I would have done so many things differently if I were to develop this game, one of the biggest things of them being that the standalone should have been done in completely different game engine in my opinion allowing for much smoother game experience. But let's not break into that, it's a whole different story.

On the other hand it's still very addictive to fight adrenaline on your veins fearing every bullet flying nearby and the death of your character after days of collecting items just to keep it barely alive. It's still very exciting to meet another real person in the game after running for hours and hours lonely on the dark forests without any lifesings. It's still addictive to search military barracks for a weapons or houses for food, fearing possible bandits lurking nearby at the same time. Call me a boring person or whatever but I doupt I'll never get tired of this.

To be honest I personally dislike a bit the whole MOBA-gendre. That said I think Dota 2 is the best MOBA currently. But hence MOBAs tend to be free nothing stops you from trying them out at first and finding out yourself what's best.

Some of the dota-exclusive features are the modular skin system and all heroes being free.
Also dota has some of the most ridiculous abilities and items, which make the game less boring in my opinion.

I think this is the best game in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series. I enjoyed it on consoles when it came out and years after when I bought it on pc in nostalgia-hype I still enjoyed it. This game is at it's best on Co-op with friends or alone when playing campaing, but I've also had a lot of fun playing against my friends in objective based versus modes. Despite the fact that I enjoyed this game I must say that I would have prefered it to be much more realistic and AI to be better.

For under 10$ I can safely recommend it, for above that price - not recommended unless you really like the series. Keep in mind that this is a old release and therefore graphics and AI are not good on the modern standards.
