Xenonauts is an old schoolish strategy game made to honor the original x-com series.
I strongly recommend to download
x-Division mod[www.goldhawkinteractive.com].
The mod fixes some the games most fundamental flaws.

I continue to have huge respect for modders.

War of the Chosen is a solid DLC. It adds a lot of great stuff to xcom 2, so much that it could almost be a standalone game of it's own.

I would like more realistic and grim atmosphere like the XCOM Enemy Unknown and the older XCOM's had.
And while the chosen and the factions are a bit gringy at times, I can't say no to them since they add so many fun gameplay elements.

Couple of things I really disliked though.
There is a lot of enemies now who can mindcontrol your units. A lot. It wasn't unusual to fight against 4 mindcontrol able enemies at the same time. There is a counter for this though: Carry a lot of flashbangs in each mission. A LOT. But it kinda forces you to. Or focus on psionics I guess.

The "balance" between chosen is ridiculous I feel. The first one you encounter and suspect to be the easiest, is actually by far the hardest. Other two are actually pretty enjoyable to fight against but the first one just seems unfair at times.
There was also no information on how ridiculously hard the first chosen assault mission was.

Word of advice: do not try ironman in your first WotC game like I did.

NEO Scavenger is a very unforgiving survival game. It's addicting too. But you must endure failure.
Because once you die, you'll need to start all over again.

The game has a lot of dialog, oldish graphics and no animations so it demands some imagination from the player. It's safe to say that it appeals more to a strategian than to an adrenaline junkie.

Being too greedy will lead to you dying, being too careful will lead to you starving.
Dialog options may have serious consequences, sometimes helping someone will cause more harm than good and sometimes bad choice of action will lead to you actually dying, so be thoughtful.
Surviving is all about calculating your chances and avoiding unnecessary risks.

Frostpunk is a beautiful artistic city building game.
It feels all around polished and finished; smooth transitions and so on.
Gameplay is solid, I didn't encounter any bugs or silly controls.
What really takes Frostpunk apart from its competitors is the art, music and storytelling: a great atmosphere.

I just wish there was more content. After 8 hrs of completing the first scenario I felt like the second scenario had too little difference to be interesting.

Early Access Review
Colony survival has potential. It's fun for a couple of hours.
I wouldn't recommend to buy it at its full price, if it's on a heavy sale then it just might be worth a try.
It feels so unfinished; ui looks horrible, gameplay feels repetitive after few hours, lack of animations, sound, music...
It just reminds me of an incomplete minecraft mod to be honest.
Yet they charge 20$ for this. I guess the price includes the promise of finished product, even though Steam Early access states it shouldn't.

Being that the game has been in development for a year or so and there hasn't been any clear improvement, it's safe to say that you probably should skip buying this product.

Early Access Review
They are billions is a very solid defense rts game.
Graphics, music and programming are on point. Already feels like a finished product.

More variation and content on gameplay would be nice - and developers are on it - but then again I feel like I've already got my moneys worth at this stage.

Don't get me wrong it's a pretty solid game to play in co-op with friends, but I just got bored.
I guess I would recommend Borderlands 2 to people who like hack 'n' slash games, in my taste however it was just too repeative.
I found that the loot system was somewhat tedious. Too much crappy loot and fiddling around with inventory.
I also found that the narrative was also somewhat boring. Although I appreciate the humour, after the beginning I just stopped paying attention to it.

Pretty much delivers what it promises, which is somewhat rare these days...
Got my money's worth I guess.

Chivalry is a solid arena pvp game with medieval theme. Hits feels impactful. Easy to learn, hard to master. While I never really got addicted into Chivalry, I still keep coming back to it from time to time - it's a safe bet when I just want to play something quick with my friends.

EDIT: Turns out I was right. They didn't finish the game. It's not in early access anymore but it's still in the same state. They only added 2 new maps, vaulting, emotes and tons of paid cosmetics. Now they say it's esports ready. Yeah right.

Battlegrounds is so much fun.

However,
I can't stand when developers add microtransactions to a full priced game.
I can't stand when developers add microtransactions to a early access game.
They did both.

For this reason alone, I can't recommend this game.

Thoughts:
One can only ask if they have any motivation at all in actually getting the game out of early access if their focus is in money already in this early stage.
You would expect that after paying 30$ you would get everything the game has to offer, even the cosmetic items, but no.

You got to like action rpg's in order to like Grim Dawn I guess, but if you do then I can't but recommend this game! Grim Dawn is overall a decent game; old school, hardcore and has a nice grim atmosphere.

There's a ton of content, for dozens of hours, and after that you can continue to repeat the story for almost endlessly with harder difficulties trying to further develop your character and get rare item drops for your characters. The game kind of expects you to pour some time on it, since getting the rarest items is very difficult. I'm at around 50 hrs, completed the game almost twice and I still haven't completed a single item set, and I only have couple of legendary items.
