How this works:

Anyone who is not a member of this Steam community group, can still play on our game-servers (assuming they are not banned), but will not have access to various special in-game features.
Anyone who shows-up as a "Member" of this Steam community group, is automatically granted access to some special in-game features (various types of "voting", "3rd-person", etc.) in our game-servers.
Anyone who shows-up as an "Officer" of this Steam community group (with the gold/yellow star "⭐" next to their name here), is also automatically an "administrator" of most of our game-servers.

Further, I have restored administrator access to most current or former (and, in some cases ancient) administrators from these Steam community groups:

Weasels Lair
Freaks & Misfits (now retired)
Saphe.Space (now retired)

For those who are administrators themselves, and perhaps do not remember all the other administrators in-game player names (since they do tend to change over time, and this group has existed in some form for probably over a decade now), you can lookup-up some of their former common names in this thread: Admin Info: List of current administrators. BTW: Access to that thread is restricted to existing administrators only, since administrators may want to keep some of that information (former names) confidential.

Recruiting moderators for game-server(s) - 2025

We are recruiting for some additional moderators / administrators, generally for:

Our TF2 server
Our FoF server

Requirements:

Already play Team Fortress 2 (TF2) and/or Fistful of Frags (FoF) some.
Already have been playing somewhat regularly on our TF2 server and/or our FoF server
Not a poster of racist, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic stuff, or other hate-speech. We are an LGBTQIA+S-roflcopter-friendly community.
Not already banned from any of our servers. You can check here[sourcebans.weaselslair.com].
Some familiarity with SourceMod[www.sourcemod.net] is helpful, but not required.
Some familiarity with SourceBans[sbpp.github.io] is helpful, but not required.
Know how to use a web-browser. Required for accessing our SourceBans system[sourcebans.weaselslair.com].

Expectations:

Be able to read, understand and follow simple directions (such as the "How to apply" section below).
Do not be a prick.
Do not abuse your moderation / administrative super-powers.
Do not force players to do stuff - sometimes they just want to hang-back and socialize or otherwise not play as expected.
Do not go crazy spamming custom sounds.
Do assist other players with using server-specific features (e.g. how to disable/re-enable custom music, etc.).
Do watch-out for people posting racist, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic stuff, or other hate-speech - and take the appropriate action (likely gag / mute / silence them in-game or using SourceBans).
Do watch-out for cheaters, hackers, exploiters, griefers, etc. - and take appropriate action (likely at least temporarily ban them in-game or using SourceBans).
Do escalate whatever you do not know how to handle to Weasel, preferably via Discord[discord.gg].
Join our Discord server here[discord.gg] - so that you can report issues and get assistance quicker.
Please do Vote-up or otherwise promote various posts (videos, etc.) on Steam, regarding our game-serves and community.
Do feel free to organize meet-ups on our servers, or otherwise promote their usage. That is what they are there for!

Typical super-powers granted:

Ability to gag / mute / silence players.
Ability to kick / ban players.
Ability to force a map change.
Ability to initiate various votes.
Ability to play some extra custom sounds.
Access to extra information about our servers, community, etc.
Ability to impress all your Internet friends! (both of them!).

FYI: Decommissioning DropBox

I am working on decommissioning the utilization of DropBox for stuff related to Weasel's Lair, wGASM and/or other game-related stuff (emulation archives, etc).

I've migrated all the wGASM stuff from DropBox to the Internet Archive and tested the everything works without the use of DropBox. So, I will be going back through the wGASM Guide as well as the code/details on GitHub[github.com] to remove all references to DropBox.

If anyone finds references around to web to stuff I had in my public Dropbox that they need/want, just hit me up. I probably will still have it stored away somewhere - just not hosted pubically any more.

This might include things such as:

Old archives of custom content for TF2 (custom maps, "Pulp Fortress" server-side player model archive, etc.).
Old archive of custom content for FoF (custom maps, etc.).
Old archives of various ROM's for emulators.

Decommissioning DropBox will save some monthly expense, that perhaps I can use to put toward increasing the hosting capacity for dedicated game-servers, and perhaps allow bringing some additional game-servers back online, such as (perhaps) some combination of:

Additional Team Fortress 2 (TF2) servers.
Additional Fistful of Frags (FoF) servers.
Maybe a Counter-Strike:Source (CSS) server - since that appears to be gaining some interest again, in the wake of CS2 release (or if you prefer, the "CSGO-to-CS2 debacle").
