@flynn It was entirely XML until Meltup contacted me one evening looking to add some new features, and they added the DLL.
lux 23. juli kl. 5:44
Also it's definitely compatible with combat extended, whoever reported that probably had another mod interfering
lux 23. juli kl. 5:44
Alright, I submitted but I'm new to modding, it seemed pretty straightforward though. This mod is mostly just XML right? I noticed it packages a DLL though? Either way it's working fine on 1.6 with no changes other than updating metadata
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 23. juli kl. 5:35
@flynn Absolutely. It saves me the trouble of updating, and those sound like some cool features!
lux 22. juli kl. 23:20
Can I reupload 1.6 with your permission? I was getting into modding and made a fork that updates to 1.6 and adds platinum. Also want to enable building conduits with copper and a few other things
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 25. mar. kl. 18:31
@Battl3bee Somebody commented once that it wasn't compatible, so I took their word for it.
Battl3bee 25. mar. kl. 16:52
what does it mean not compatible with CE? I've been using it with CE for a while and haven't had any issues whatsoever with it. has nothing to do with combat so idk why it says that.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 5. nov. 2024 kl. 17:54
@dotjson My apologies. I'll get that change added soon then. For some reason, even though you responded a mere 45 minutes later, Steam didn't notfiy me, or least, that's the excuse I'm going with if I happened to just miss the notification.
inkonink 5. nov. 2024 kl. 13:22
its not ce compatible
dotjson 11. okt. 2024 kl. 6:28
Looks like you can just drop <veinMineable>true</veinMineable> within the ore ThingDefs and in between the Building tags and that should work!
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2024 kl. 5:41
@dotjson I was actually looking into that recently. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to figure it out. If you can figure out how to do it, I'll gladly add it to the mod.
dotjson 11. okt. 2024 kl. 5:07
Any possibility to add the "mine vein" function from 1.5?
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2024 kl. 18:34
@Lemon caro Not a clue.
Lemon caro 27. aug. 2024 kl. 17:49
is this CE compatible?
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 26. aug. 2024 kl. 15:17
The source is included in the mod, by the way.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 26. aug. 2024 kl. 15:16
@tanyfilina Mod settings, since they require custom C# code, unfortunately.
tanyfilina 14. maj 2024 kl. 5:18
What are Assemblies in this mod used for?
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2024 kl. 5:52
@Wolfwood1316 No problem. Glad it's useful!
Wolfwood1316 29. jan. 2024 kl. 21:41
still using the shit outta this mod, so thanks
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 11. sep. 2023 kl. 19:30
@MasterOfBacon I don't know, as I don't know exactly what Vanilla Expanded's bronze does. Probably the one from this mod, including the recipes for making it, if you can. That'd likely be the cleanest combination.

And thanks! It's good to know that others find the mod useful, even nearly 5 years later.
MasterOfBacon 11. sep. 2023 kl. 18:02
ok which bronze should I remove I think I know exactly what mod you are talking about.

Cherry picker mod or something I think its called.

Thank you for the response been using this mod for YEARS.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 11. sep. 2023 kl. 16:52
@MasterOfBacon Unless they support it, no. Although, there's a mod out there that allows you to remove certain things from other mods that would work, I believe.
MasterOfBacon 10. sep. 2023 kl. 22:47
does this work with vanilla expanded's bronze now? :) glad to see the mod still being updated.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2023 kl. 14:50
@Synthetic Someone else was having that problem a while ago. Last I checked, it worked fine for me, though.
Synthetic 10. aug. 2023 kl. 11:24
Am I the only one who can't craft weapons from any metals from this mod?
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2023 kl. 5:20
@Blazerik Yeah, it would have been the perfect time, but I forgot.
Blazerik 11. juni 2023 kl. 20:19
Looking at this mod again a year later and author still has not fixed the issue with the metal names in his defs. The transition to 1.4 would of also been the perfect time to fix the issue.
*Sigh*
Nörr 30. mar. 2023 kl. 20:51
Oh I see, well thanks anyways!
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2023 kl. 18:21
@Auz-vali~ <3 It's likely a problem on your end. It works for me (with 100+ mods I might add), and I haven't changed anything about this mod recently.
Nörr 30. mar. 2023 kl. 11:35
Sorry again for the unrelenting questions, but I kinda just noticed that the metals aren't actually used to make things? I cant make any weapon/armor/shield out of any metals from this mod. Is this a problem on my end or is this intended?
Nörr 30. mar. 2023 kl. 8:36
Will do
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2023 kl. 6:57
@Auz-vali~ <3 No, unfortunately. Sorry. But, if you find one, leave a link here and see about putting it in the description for others.
Nörr 29. mar. 2023 kl. 20:42
Ah. Yeah I have a mod that changes the flammability of metals to 0, are you aware of any that change the ones specific to your mod?
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2023 kl. 18:49
@Auz-vali~ <3 I'll consider tweaking the beauty values a bit, but everything's balanced around vanilla, so I didn't want to end up making something that, for example rival's gold in beauty for 1/10th the cost.

That's also why all the metals are flammable. Steel in vanilla is flammable, so the metals I added are as well. I think there are mods that will changes this, though, if you want.
Nörr 29. mar. 2023 kl. 11:39
Hey, just a quick question wondering if it would be possible to give copper a little beauty buff? Its abundant and overall useless for most things, but copper statues I think are pretty beautiful :)

(Also note that its flammable? Seems kinda strange)
MasterOfBacon 26. jan. 2023 kl. 11:14
Well thanks to both of you I can enjoy this awesome mod again :D
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. 2023 kl. 17:20
@MasterOfBacon No problem. Glad I finally got around to doing it, and, of course, Meltup was a big help again this time.
MasterOfBacon 25. jan. 2023 kl. 15:32
YES thank you so much I love this mod! :necroheart: :broflex:
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. 2023 kl. 14:23
The mod has been updated to 1.4, for those following this thread.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 7. jan. 2023 kl. 10:40
@Dester Does it not work with 1.4 currently? (Besides not saying it's the correct version.)
Dester 4. jan. 2023 kl. 0:36
When will this be updated for the 1.4 version ?
Arnokill57 11. nov. 2022 kl. 7:23
As long as it is on the list thats ok. Take your time. Was worried that my favorite mod would be forgotten.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. 2022 kl. 0:00
@Arnokill57 It's on my to-do list. Does it not work currently?
Arnokill57 8. nov. 2022 kl. 22:12
will there be any action to update to 1.4?
Blazerik 14. okt. 2022 kl. 19:41
Disregard my previous (currently deleted) comment. I was one the wrong mod. This mod does not interfere with recipes @pedro However I still recommend that the Mod Author fix his defnames as common courtesy of being a modder
pedroekh 14. okt. 2022 kl. 6:22
Does the metals appear in the recipes? I mean, like power conductors now use copper instead of steel, and etc? Os are they only present on items which you can choose the material?
MasterOfBacon 5. okt. 2022 kl. 18:32
Here use this a ref

I actually machine lots of different metals and wood :)

https://www.precisebits.com/reference/relative_hardness_table.htm

Maple is such a hard wood they use it for bowling alley floors.

Talk about HARD wood.

That link I posted is a rough guide to use if you want to do "TIN VS WOOD"

Some woods are harder then tin you would be surprised.
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 30. sep. 2022 kl. 10:21
@idea λ Thanks! I try.

I'll consider making tin less fragile, however, if you look it up, tin's actually only a 1.5 on the Mohs scale, so I'd consider most woods to actually be harder and less-fragile. Of course, it depends on the wood. Some would still definitely be softer.
tmo97 26. sep. 2022 kl. 8:57
Thanks for making this mod and keeping it updated. Would you make tin less fragile than wood?
Kyrrisayo  [ophavsmand] 25. sep. 2022 kl. 21:35
@idea λ Oh, it's a mod. I had thought he was referring to a recent vanilla addition to Rimworld. I appreciate the simple explanation of the topic, though!
