yeah playstation controllers are not supported, but my xbox controller (series X/S) works fine via wire and messed up wirelessly, try to turn off steam input if you play through steam. (all tested in EA app's NFS 2015 by me)

The ASUS ROG Raikiri and the Razer™ Wolverineⱽ² Chroma are both wired controllers. I also tried with the PlayStation 4 and DualSense Controller, didn't work neither. This is apparently a recent issue with the game.
