Are online achievements still possible in 2025?

Press play. EA app starts up saying 'preparing game' then asks me to log in to EA account to activate the game on this PC (which has already been played etc before). EA app flashes open on the screen and closes again. Game does not load. Hitting Play again in Steam just gets the same thing without the login request. Useless. Its bound to be something to do with not logging in properly on the EA app. Just let us play the games without these unnecessary additional accounts....

I have decent hours from when the game came out but my acount is fully reseted i dont have any progress in story and no more cars in online, what happened?
