When Octopath 2's announcement trailer came out I showed my Mother because she would always listen to me ramble on about stuff I was excited for even if It was completely mundane or out of her realm because I like to think she just liked seeing me happy and so passionate.
She loved how beautiful the game was and the environments especially, It gave us something to bounce off each other when we saw each other (Opposite shifts so usually only for a hour or two at a time).

She passed away early February 2023, and while I haven't had the heart to sit down and play much more of Octopath 2 I know that when I come back to It that I will be flooded with happy memories of spending time with her when the two of us had the chance.
I would have really loved to be able to tell her how all the characters stories ended and then watch Law and Order with her.
