  • Make sure animal ghost riders don't get knocked off.
  • Pull latest CNS, CS, ES, FI, FR, HU, IT, KO, PL, PT-BR, RU and TR translations from Transifex[www.transifex.com]. Some languages are making a lot of progress.

Relatively Major Changes / Additions
  • Allow Player to Control Ally Commanders and their troops during battle using Influence Points

11 February 2019 Update

Troll Changes
  • Reduced their Hardened Skin HP
  • Improved the formula for calculating damage against their Hardened Skin
  • Reduced Arrow Damage unless it is a headshot
  • Improved Couched Lance damage against Troll Hardened Skin
  • Nerfed their AOE strikes
  • They can pushback enemies when surrounded
  • Overall, should be a better experience now. Thanks for the feedback


Troops & Items
  • Gave itp_crush_through, itp_unbalanced, itp_can_knock_down to some weapons
  • Tweaked all horses for better balance. There's no longer any single best horse.
  • Expanded Umbar troop tree, adjusted their items and their stats
  • Slightly more cavalry for Dale
  • Added Corsair Master Assassin to Night Troops list
  • A lot of reward item shuffling and tweaking

December 18, 2018 Update


New Troll Behaviour and Attacks
  • Trolls now attack just like troops
  • Trolls now charge. There are still some issues with it, but for now, it works relatively well.
  • Some trolls have shields.

Player Battle Victories Support Current Theater Allied Factions
  • When the player wins a battle, the spoils (i.e faction strength boost) are shared between the allied factions of that theater
  • Previously, the player's faction would get the spoils.
  • This allows the player to actually make a bigger difference in allied theaters, without making the player's faction overpowered.

Companions
  • 3 New Evil Companions Added.
  • Companions are no longer found inside castles. They will be found somewhere in the town center. Look for them there.

Troop & Item Changes
  • remove blur from isengard weapons that makes the weapon disappear
  • Made Isengard bow slightly thinner and tilted to the side to improve first-person aiming
  • add female variation of Beorning Berserker armour and Khand Kilt
  • Fixed Northmen Nasal Helm missing mesh, Dale reward sword position and missing materials, some more missing materials and asset doublettes.
  • Minor adjustments to Beorning, Dale, Corsair troop trees

  • remove the 'we are campaigning' restriction when requesting council.
  • Change Umbar & Moria faction colours to be less similar to Moria
  • New Lord Command: Ask Lord to attack a besieged center
  • Don't reinforce factions in Last Stand mode
  • make some changes to guardian party quest
  • Fixed limited defender spawns in sieges, rebalanced defender starting numbers and reinforcments.
  • Prevent division by zero in script_calculate_rank_gain_new, hopefully also fixing the rank gain exploit
  • Allies will now help the player against deserters. They still don't hunt them down though (as designed).
  • Removed player faction str income nerf
  • Some work on Moria and Gundabad reinforcement templates
  • More garrison size adjustments
  • attempt to fix division by zero errors in ai scripts

Another September 2018 Patch
  • Fixed a bug found when we implemented reinforce next theater script
  • Fixed weather effects happening when it is not intended to
  • Added preliminary Dol Guldur troop tree by moving orc trackers to DG + making them a bit stronger;
  • Made Rhovanion Marchwardens ranged troops;
  • Rotated Dale Bill so it actually hits with the blade

September 13, 2018 Patch

New Features:
  • Battle Encounter Effects
    - Depending on the faction strength of certain factions AND where the player is on the map, some special effects leading to buffs/debuffs might occur during battle (BETA)
  • Extended Battlesize: Minimum is now 90; Maximum is 350.
  • Made sure Sieges always have optimal battlesize

Other changes:
  • Prune Prisoners from Centers faster (From once a week to twice a week)
  • Fix Guild Master Quest Ranges (should fix the Guildmaster kill quest issue)
  • Fix kill quest counter from counting each kill as double.
  • Upscaled and improved more textures + added normal maps for Rhun, Beornings
  • Fixed some strings
  • Improved woodmen / beorning normal maps, fixed one mesh

September 09 2018 Patch

  • Add Last Stand of Durin's Folk Custom Scenario. Try it out via the Main Menu --> Custom Scenario
  • Add Faction Selection Presentation
  • Hardcoded some Scout Camp locations so that they will always be reachable
  • Changed Dale troops' inventories, so that the Dale armours hopefully show up in shops; also adjusted some item stats;
  • Put deprecated troops back in for old savegames. May be overwritten in a few months.
  • Changed some reward item text so it is more understandable + change isengard mine to give +2 tactics for now

Save Game Compatible.

Battles
  • Major code optimizations during battles, improving overall performance
  • Made Simple All/Enemy Only agent labels (set in TLD mod options)
  • Formation V5 added. Can be chosen via TLD Mod Options (Beta)
  • Made some more formations change (includes a new option to disallow AI from forming defensive)
  • Fixes to Infantry AI (Original Formations)
  • Disabled complex formations for small battlefields
  • Made all attackers in sieges charge for now
  • Made sure enemies don't flee too fast from battles (changed from 90 secs to 3.5 mins).

  • Changed how berserker trait works in battle. You now regenerate slightly when killing enemys in melee, but only while wearing certain light armours.

Troops
  • Added special 'night troops', which don't lose any weapon proficiencies at night.
  • Added 'berserker' trait for some troops, including one companion, allowing them to slowly regenerate while fighting
  • Improved/extended troop trees for: Dwarves, Beornings/Woodmen, Dale, Dunland, Umbar, Pinnath Gelin, harad
  • upped orc and Uruk T5 levels, so they're a bit harder to train
  • Adjusted weapon proficiencies for all archers, so they're weaker in melee, and also slightly weaker in ranged combat.
  • Removed Ithilien Rangers from the regular troop tree. They're rare now!

Items
  • Made some 2h axes/picks actual 2h weapons instead of polearms, so AI troops use them better.
  • New Rohan Guard armour by Brego, replacing Rohan's buggy heraldic armour
  • Made Beorning Club available as a reward item
  • Beorn shield reward allows draws nature to your side
  • New Dale Reward Sword by Mandible
  • New Mithril Reward Shield by Mandible
  • More changes to reward items: Dale, Moria, Umbar
  • Added Power Draw requirements to most bows, adjusted damage output.

Campaign balance
  • Weakened Gondor strength gain from centers, buffed Mordor, but increased handicap for evil players
  • Weakened Moria, strengthened Dol Guldur
  • Slightly nerfed player faction's strength income
  • Increased fac_str_weak to 3000: Less offensive campaigns that can't siege (usually resulting in defeats), hopefully less ganging up on Gondor in the beginning.
  • Changed garrison reinforcements, so garrisons have better troops + more archers, adjusted for some factions.
  • Made evil garrisons stronger
  • Stronger initial garrisons for captured cities (except player faction)
  • New formula determining how many rank + influence points players get from battles. Now rewards how you impact the war, taking into account the type of party and number of troops you defeated, number of troops you lost, whom you helped, and how many troops you bring in joint battles. Generally gives a little more reward than before.
  • Slightly nerfed and reduced amount of ranger scout parties, to make Ithilien less toxic
  • Add Secondary Capitals to Dale, Gundabad, Minas Tirith
  • When a theater gets defeated, the next theater gets slightly reinforced by the remnants of the defeated factions
  • When Fac Str is Crushed, lords hideout in their capitals, awaiting sieges

Tutorialisation
  • Add Faction Introduction Screen
  • Re-Implement Tutorial for New Mount and Blade players
  • Add info text about sieges on player's first siege
  • Added UI items to make some commands more transparent to players

Misc
  • Oath of Vengeance drawing added
  • Implemented 2 new victory cheers
  • Allowed Player to command parties to follow (Depends on Faction Rank)
  • Re-used some battle music for Sieges
  • Made fangorn safe for a while when ents are defeated in combat
  • Made sure Butcher trait counter adds up during other instances where prisoners are slaughtered
  • Made sure morale bonus for rotten food appears for Orc / Uruk parties
  • Made deserter party composition slightly balanced / realistic
  • Created a retreat / cover party when player orders to leave some troops behind.
  • Fixed Adv Camp Garrison appearing after adv camp gets destroyed

  • Fixed Reward Items being stolen when losing battles
  • Gave quick start players full inventory

Translations
