[COOP/1-4] The Escape [UPDATED]

Description
***Because i've been asked a lot, the mission is now converted to be able to support 4 players (due to vehicles capacity limitation and how the story should be driven, i can't go any higher, thus only 4 playable slots).


A cooperative 4 player mission based on the single player version of the:
"Ravage DayZs on Esseker"

Based on the Ravage framework mod, this is an open-world survival multiplayer mission with a storyline and an escape goal.

Roam and survive the wastelands of the devastated Esseker, fighting for your lives with other survivors whilst chased by the undead.

Can you survive and escape?

Background story:
Four friends are on their summer vacation. They head north for a camp in the forest, through Esseker city, where they're going to settle down for a while. The car radio reports a new virus spreading throughout Europe over the last week, but no one is really paying attention. The night is falling, so they have to stop and camp until the sun rises again. Dawn breaks over the horizon, a new day begins and the radio station stops the music program and plays only recorded news... nothing will be the same again.

Important notes:
The survivor slot marked as "Player Survivor" (usually the first AI slot) must always be after the assignments if you want to continue the storyline going.
The respawn tent (aka ridge tent) requires at least one of the playable units to be next to it, so a dead player be able to respawn to the said position of the tent.

Requirements:
Mission also requires Ravage 0.1.55[forums.bistudio.com] which is not currently listed on steam workshop.

Features:
Random heli crashes and supply drops during your gameplay.
Caching for AI units,objects,vehicles,helis,boats etc. for increased performance.
Dynamic thunder storms happening random during the day with overcasted weather.
Chance for snow during the colder hours of day or night.
New foggy breath effect for all the units (except zombies) using tpw fog script.
4x time acceleration for day time, 12x for night time.
Only walkers (roaming) zombies,5% of crawlers (usually 1 crawler in the horde), graveyard hordes (increased hordes happening on the graveyards behind churches).
Rabbits and chickens or goats (on specific locations) as ambient animals,specified animals are deleted for fps gain.
New dynamic real weather script.
Dynamic fog (mist) effect happening random depending the temperature and dewpoint stats.
Rain FX visual enhancements using tpw mod scripts.
No vehicle wreck spawn (Esseker has many already),hand placed vehicles (RHS,Civilian) across map,usually devastated with a chance of 20% of intact vehicles.
Only one central radiation zone.Zone centered in the industrial Esseker area.
Survivors strongholds,territories camp (Blufor,Opfor,Independent,"Civilian") with bonus inventory items and intact vehicles.
Several locations on the map have been fortified,locations are cleverly picked and fortified to help where the action strikes.
Many POIs to visit across map,something like civilians apocalypse getaways with radios playing news about virus spread,places where you could rest,eat and sleep as well.
And many more waiting for you to explore.

Known issues.
Saving is disabled, enabling saving options will cease the storyline scripts upon re-entering the mission on a later point.

Mission was meant to be very hard and almost impossible to get to the actual endgame scene, indeed the boat had a broken reservoir and was very hard to reach the end of the river through Esseker, but if you had a canister with gasoline and refuel the boat you could get to the end.
Saving was corrupting most of the scripts so that's why it was disabled in the first place, loot density and variety was mostly from Ravage mod asset's

Haha, almost thought I had this mission. Escaping in the boat, but run out of fuel in the middle of the river. What I would appreciate: saving ability, vehicles not despawning, a little bit more relevant items (fuel canister, ammo, TOOLBOX) being found in the searchable places instead of clothing, binoculars and leg straps.

If the chopper doesn't spawn for anyone else after throwing flares just wait around 10 min's usually means the chopper has crashed and the pilots need time to walk to your location, then you will receive a task failed and a new objective for escape :)

As a minor workaround for the vehicles, where possible it's probably best to try log off near a town so you at least can try find another vehicle again, but not being able to stockpile too much makes it rough

Its a shame the vehicle despawning never got fixed, pretty much ruins the ability to stop and reload on an otherwise really amazing scenario, oh well, back to searching for a working Dayz single player experience

Just a note from an old fart - playing solo because I don't know any other septuagenarians who are into first person shooters.

I can't play for too long at one time because it's not good for me to be sitting still in one place, so I have to use the Abort option to quit from time to time. Since I'm the host, when I restart the game later, I come back to where I was when I quit with all the items I have on my body Inventory , but any vehicle or items stored in it is gone. I've even tried quitting while sitting in a vehicle as driver. On restart I dropped to the ground & no vehicle.

I really wish I could find this as a single player scenario where I could save, at least save on exit.

How do you save? 3 hours and can't even start from where we left off.
