Description
(CREATED IN WOTC. LEGACY VERSION IS HERE.)

Description
I've returned to this project after almost 7 years to implement it to the WotC expansion. This is a Character Pool containing a total of 560(+1) characters from 47 different species from the Star Wars universe, with authentic names, attitudes, voices and (more or less authentic) clothing.
Every species contain some characters who have unconventional looks (veteran rebels, bounty hunters, etc) but the majority of them have XCOM default rookie-outfits.

I started a Let's Play video series on YouTube, using this Character pool. Check it out if you are interested.

Important!
I tried to minimize the count of the Required Mods but they are truly necessary if you don't want to have missing parts.

I recommend using this CP in Random and Character Pool mode, so there are Humans in the roster as well. (Humans are the most common species in the Star Wars universe. Almost every second individual is a human.)

Furthermore I suggest everyone to use SaintKnave's Recruits Conserve Character Pool mod, so that by the end-game the list of the almost useless rookie recruits won't be full with characters from the CP.

New flags for the homeworlds (Click to see my other mod)
Created and implemented new flags for the home-planets of the different species, using and expanding the style of Scott Kelly's project[flagsofthegalaxy.com].

Separate species
If you don't want some species in your playthrough because it breaks your head-canon you can download all of them from here[drive.google.com] and cherry-pick any you want.

Possible future plans
(not in order)
  • Creating a new CP for (D.)VIP-s with Star Wars clothing.
  • Implementing Musashi's WotC Customize Soldier Size mod, for more realistic alien species
  • Adding Biographies
  • Adding human characters with "Star Warsy" names and with random Planet-flags

Acknowledgements

A special thanks to thade for their Random Appearance Button mod, which made the time to create this CP so much shorter.
Also thanks to Iridar for their Appearance Manager mod, which was great help during the creation.

Also thanks to all of the other modders whose mods made this CP more authentic:

I kinda manage to solve shiny black skin which for some reason appeared on some characters in these character pool. Solution actually is quite simple - changing colour of the skins of characters that have this problem.

I think I found the answer. It seems to be the One Million Colours Plugin For WOTC. After I disabled that, the problem (Mostly) dissipated.

I already have the screenshots from when I was making the characters — well, sadly not at the skin color settings but it's still something.... I just pushed them in my google drive so feel free to check them out if it helps.

Damn! Yea I have a lot of mods too so maybe its something that is interferring. It feels crazy to ask you to post 500 screenshots of their colors so i think ill just fix it manually when it occurs then, no biggie :P Thanks tho! Love your work

I also have this problem. It has to do something with another mod that isn't in the required list. I spent weeks and months creating these characters only using the required mods, then I added a BUNCH to start my next campaign and the skins were gone... Tried to troubleshoot even did a clean install and adding only the required mods but it didn't help and I couldn't find the problem. I was asking around but nobody had the same problem so I just dealt with it on the fly, remaking their skincolor in the game. You are the first who finally had the same problem as me (or at least said something about it).

TBH I still have no idea how to fix it, and I don't have the time to manually set up their skins again for every 500+ characters. Best I can do is upload every character's screenshot of how they SHOULD be looking, and you can match in the game by hand like me. Not ideal I know but that's all I have time for now if you want it.

Hi, I have all of the required mods but many of the characters faces är shiny black as well as the "hair" of the Twi'leks. Does anyone know why?

Hello! Could you add me? I also have a character pool on the workshop, but has been a few years since I came back to XCOM. I have a few questions about modding the game in 2024, and would like to ask you a couple questions regarding this, if you're available to share some knowledge. :)

Did you use AML? (Alternative Mod Launcher) If not, it's time to change to it because playing modded XCOM 2 WOTC is not working without it (well).
