SW Alien Head Pack Extra: Base Heads (WOTC)

Description
THIS IS FOR THE WAR OF THE CHOSEN EXPANSION

This mod is a dependency for my Star Wars Alien Head Pack series, but is also free to use independently for anyone that requires blue/red/green/etc. skinned soldiers. It provides two sets of base heads with extended skin colours, one with bright colours and one with darker colours. It also includes invisible heads. The heads are available for both male and female, under Caucasian/Race 0.

This has been split out from my other mods so as to avoid including the same content in multiple mods.

Notes:
If you are importing characters from a pool that used the legacy/base game version of the mod, those customisations will be broken in this version of the mod. The two different versions of the game have necessitated unavoidable changes to part template names to avoid clashes when both versions of a mod are installed. You will have to remake your characters in the editor.

Warning - If you switch from one of the alien heads back to a regular head, it will likely turn black. This is caused by the game trying to reference a skin colour that no longer exists. If you select a new skin colour it will return to normal. This seems to be new behaviour in WOTC caused by various changes that have been made.

The bright colours versions use the eye colour palette to provide a suitable range of appropriate alien skin colours without forcing people to download a 3rd party skin colour mod or adding in my own. If you use an eye colour mod, that will propagate to the base head skin colour options. The dark colours versions use the hair colour palette, and will be similarly affected by any third party hair colour mod.

It should be noted that the eyebrows of both sexes and stubble on the male have been painted out. If you want versions that retain the eyebrows, you can enable these by uncommenting the C and D variants in the XComContent.ini file in the mod's Config folder (\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1127146685\).

This mod incorporates invisible heads for both males and females. If you don't require these, or already have invisible heads from a different mod, you may wish to comment out their entries in \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1127146685\Config\XComContent.ini

Chiss eyes for both males and females have been added under both Upper and Lower Face Props. You will likely want to enable the "hairy" head variants to use with them. You may also want to grab an eye colour palette extension mod to increase the available range of blue colourations.

Glowing (possibly a little too much) Psi eyes have also been added under both Upper and Lower Face Props.

Acknowledgements:
I learned a lot by poking through the contents of other people’s mods, such as [GWJ] Kexx and Dor, to see how things worked, as well as reading various tutorials and forum/Reddit posts by the likes of E3245. Many thanks to them and the rest of the X2 modding community for their help, direct and indirect.

@jsmith225 In coding, you have different types of "comments". In this case, a "commented" line has a semi colon --> ; <-- Remove the semi colon before the line. That will uncomment that specific line. Meaning, if you have three lines with semi colons, remove all three if need be. Typically, the commented sections are a different colour. Also, a line in coding is literally a line (unless you have a wordwrapped line).

first time modding xcom 2. what exactly do you mean to "uncomment" the options for stubble and eyebrows? i have the config file open, but i don't understand what you mean, exactly. can you elaborate, please?

I don't think it's an issue of the mod not working, but the mod is just not appearing when you sub to it.

I don't think this works
1. Caucasian - does not exist
2. Using Race 0 by itself doesn't work

do you have any plans to make another head pack ?

none of these heads or alien options show up ? is the mod dead?

Doesn't seem to work for Longwar of the Chosen. There is no option to change to anything but the nomral skin colors that i can find.

heads don't work ):

Is there anyway to stop my characters from becoming black due to uninstalling the mod. I understand you can just change the skin color whenever you make a new character but I'd rather not do that for every recruit because most of my people have that black texture on there faces.

i don't know how to use the heads.
