Description
Well, it's done. Free the Hood - WotC Edition
For the vanilla version look here: Free The Hood

What it does:
Adds more customization options using vanilla assets

This Version is made for the full package of DLC and Capnbubs Accessories Pack

Note: If you don't use Capnbubs Accessories or some of the DLC you should delete the respective section at the bottom of the XComContent.ini found here:
\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1131287172\Config

Note2: For load order reasons it's best to subscribe to Capnbubs pack fist and FtH second.

Using the ski mask or Balaclava face props without a proper helmet clips hair like crazy.
You have been warned.
Obviously some other combinations don't work so well and create clipping problems.

You should check his Capnbubs Accessories Pack mod out as it adds some awesome stuff for customizing your soldiers.
Capnbubs Accessories Pack - WotC

And if you like it take a look at my other mods.
Red Headband Standalone
Lex Prop Pack - Starship Trooper Beret
Both headbands are included so you don't need the Red Headband standalone if you use the Prop Pack.

It may have also been a load order issue now that I'm looking at it. I'll let you know if the issue persists after I futz with it.

I think it may have been Anarchy's Children pieces in hindsight, so I downloaded Jsleezy's mod, I'll check later today, but that should probably fix it.

What other parts do you have trouble with? Bandanas as a head piece should work with most face props as long as I didn't miss something.

Is this mod supposed to affect the bandanas as well? I've been having some trouble combining them with other parts, but maybe it's a weird conflict on my end.

The edits I did for the archtypes were rather simple as they only have a few options and paths in them and the head wear archetypes have some options to lock the beards/face prop category.This has nothing to do with the visibility in the category but the access to the category itself. I just created a copy of the archetype with the needed changes and used the ini to direct the game to my copys in the mod files. Shins are also only visible for the three new classes by default. Unlocking them for normal soldiers is done with the content ini and it has to have more than one option to be visible as far as I remember.

@Lex Hey Lex do you have a tutorial on how you went about editting the archtypes? I want to edit some for personal use. Mostly adding a few helmets to the shin options (to create combo helmets xD since all other slots are filled). I used to just edit the part type in the ini files, but for some reason the majority of parts don't show up in the shins selection (and some do). I know it's working because a character who had a certain helmet in the shin slot before still has it equiped, but I can't find it anywhere when I do looking in the shin selection slot.

Sadly that only works for vanilla and small DLC stuff like Anarchy. The Assets from WotC were a nightmare to work with and I spent hours trying to mitigate the limitations. The only working way I found was to actually add all assets for every new helmet as complete copys and that was not viable for the scope and size of this mod.

@Lex:
The fact that they are full helmets is really beside the point. I often add face props to full helmets to cover up the necks, especially.

What added customization options are you talking about? Reaper stuff allows face props and Templar and Skirmisher stuff are full helmets anyway.

@Dragon32:
Yes, it says so in the title, and all over the description.

However, it appears to just be a rough port from the non-WotC version. Like I said, none of the added customization options from WotC are included in this mod, which means that you can't combine most things with the helmets added in WotC, for example.
