The Omaha Beach landing on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, was a pivotal moment in World War II. As a member of the Allied forces, your mission is to execute a daring amphibious assault on Omaha Beach, a heavily defended stretch of the Normandy coastline. Success in this mission is crucial to establishing a secure beachhead and liberating Western Europe from Nazi occupation.

1: Beach Landings - Survive the initial Assault
As part of the Allied forces, you are about to embark on one of the most critical missions of World War II: the D-Day Beachhead Assault. Your objective is to successfully move to the beachhead and prepare for the capture of the strategic location known as "Les Moulins."

2: Clear Les Moulins - this will allow US forces to move forward
(note: All enemies need to be killed to progress)
In the midst of World War II, you are tasked with a perilous mission to clear a series of heavily fortified enemy buildings and bunkers. Your objective is to eliminate all enemy resistance, secure vital intelligence, and pave the way for the advancement of Allied forces.

3: Defeat Fleeing Enemies
As the Allied forces make significant advances along the Normandy coast, you and your unit are tasked with pursuing retreating German troops fleeing from the beaches. Your primary objective is to intercept and neutralize the enemy forces while securing the vital main road leading to Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer.

4: Assault Saint-Laurent-Sur-Mer
(note: All enemies need to be killed to progress)
Your mission is to lead an assault on the strategic town of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer in Normandy, France, as part of the Allied campaign to liberate Western Europe during World War II. Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer is a key objective that must be captured to secure the beachhead and advance further inland.

5: Defeat Counter-attack
In the face of a determined enemy counterattack, your mission is to defend the strategic town of Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer in Normandy, France. The town has recently been captured by Allied forces, and it is now essential to hold it against a potential German assault to maintain the beachhead

6: Defeat German HQ
Your mission is to infiltrate and destroy a heavily fortified German command post located deep behind enemy lines. This mission is critical, as it aims to disrupt the enemy's chain of command, gather valuable intelligence, and weaken their ability to coordinate operations.

This is crap dude, give us a tank or something and ai is useless. Would not recommend playing right now.

Unfortunately doesn't want to load due to certain battleship models being missing.

Hey how do I script an LCVP into opening the door once it's at it's move point?

AI just stays at the landing craft and I end up assaulting the beach all by myself

I like this mission!

I know it's a lot of work to make something this large.

And you have painted yourself into a corner, by choosing to recreate the infamous deadly *Omaha* beach landing. So people are expecting the "Saving Private Ryan" movie experience. Very tough to make this a fun multiplayer mission in a sandbox multiplayer game.

I think you got the atmosphere pretty good. And it's big, but not ridiculous. And the framerate on my local hosted server was good.

My feedback is almost all gameplay related. To begin: indeed only 1 landing craft was able to make it to the beach on my 1st playthrough. There is a possible scripting fix for this, see: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/234823-jboy-boat-waypoints-script/

Once landed, my landing craft opened, then instantly closed. I had to jump with "V" to get out. My AI teammates were stuck. So I stormed the beach alone.

I like the atmospheric bombings. You could add direct artillery fire aimed towards the ocean: Germans were trying to hit the ships.

It was a little strange having some AI standing on the first beach waypoint: perhaps set them to crawling or stealth. Also having ammo caches on the beach was a little strange. Nevermind the unrestricted virtual arsenal! Because I was fighting alone, after several respawns, I equipped a Promet with a scope and did an "Edge of Tomorrow" finale.

After killing 56 Germans (who did call outs in American English: "MAN! 100 meters ahead!"), I gave up once I reached the houses.

Mission has fun elements. But it's not finished yet, in my humble opinion.
If you want to add interesting details (like how specialist tanks were used, how bunkers were placed, the cooperations of locals, exact weather and time, objectives, the heroic dog) you can read the famous book "The Longest Day" online: https://archive.org/details/bwb_O8-BQB-746

I enjoyed myself. Keep at it please!

@MicrowaveFork It's ok, I used cheat mod to enable Zeus so that I can rotate all the boats. The problem was two of boats facing backwards at the beginning. It is still a nice immersive mission after that, great job

@IceBlue Sorry - Arma being Arma, I will try to tweak the settings on the AI, although try to reload the mission. In my testing they did this about 20% of the time
