I know it's a lot of work to make something this large.
And you have painted yourself into a corner, by choosing to recreate the infamous deadly *Omaha* beach landing. So people are expecting the "Saving Private Ryan" movie experience. Very tough to make this a fun multiplayer mission in a sandbox multiplayer game.
My feedback is almost all gameplay related. To begin: indeed only 1 landing craft was able to make it to the beach on my 1st playthrough. There is a possible scripting fix for this, see: https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/234823-jboy-boat-waypoints-script/
Once landed, my landing craft opened, then instantly closed. I had to jump with "V" to get out. My AI teammates were stuck. So I stormed the beach alone.
I like the atmospheric bombings. You could add direct artillery fire aimed towards the ocean: Germans were trying to hit the ships.
After killing 56 Germans (who did call outs in American English: "MAN! 100 meters ahead!"), I gave up once I reached the houses.
Mission has fun elements. But it's not finished yet, in my humble opinion.
If you want to add interesting details (like how specialist tanks were used, how bunkers were placed, the cooperations of locals, exact weather and time, objectives, the heroic dog) you can read the famous book "The Longest Day" online: https://archive.org/details/bwb_O8-BQB-746
I enjoyed myself. Keep at it please!
