You can still use _this_ mod, if you want to.

Adds Laser and Coil variants of weapons that were added in War of the Chosen expansion, as well as some of the DLCs and mods. All of the new weapons are fitted with visual weapon attachments, where reasonable.

You can use Weapon Skin Replacer or XSkin to reskin other weapons into these or integrate them into your tech tree.

Alternatively, you can subscribe to the [WOTC][WIP] Laser and Coil Variants - Integrated mod to integrate the new weapons into your campaign alongside other Laser and Coil weapons.

WIP STATUS

This mod is a WORK IN PROGRESS. I will be adding more weapons to it one by one in the coming weeks. The plan is to cover at least the Vektor Rifles, Bullpups, Autopistols and SPARK Rifle primary weapons. Potentially more, if there is enough interest.

  • Laser Autopistol - Heater
  • Laser Vektor Rifle - Crimson Lance
  • Laser Bullpup - Kal-33 Bullpup
  • Laser Spark Autocannon - Spitfire Pulsecannon (requires Shen's Last Gift)
  • Laser Spark Heavy Cannon - RS-9 Redace Superlaser (requires SPARK Arsenal)
  • Laser Sawed Off Shotgun - Blazer (requires LW2 Secondary Weapons

CONFIGURATION

This mod is not configurable, since it just adds new weapon templates. You can adjust the localization of the new weapons here:
..\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2258710003\Localization\

REQUIREMENTS
This mod REQUIRES that you have at least one mod that adds packages with materials used by the original laser and coil weapons.

Since the requirements of this mod can be satisfied by different combinations of other mods, I'm not marking any of them as required, so that Alternative Mod Launcher doesn't have a reason to give you a false positive about missing dependencies.

I have used a few assets from Tactical Legacy Pack DLC. The weapons may not work properly if you don't have it.

Does not require a new campaign.

same for me, have lon war of the chosen installed, but these arent showing up in your x skin mod

Same here. I have installed the Long War Laser Pack - WotC (unofficial), Coilguns for War of the Chosen, Long War 2 SMG Pack (unofficial), and SPARK Arsenal mods, but the newly added weapons absolutely, positively, do not show up in the weapon selection UI whatsoever.

Any assistance with this issue would be appreciated.

Yes although couldn't test the LW2 sawnoff as not running anything for it. Could check with category and such toggled off however.

Needed to install the Spark Armoury mod and dependency for the Superlaser firing animation but apart from that XSkin helps solve the issue of the actual weapons not showing which is fine as the XSkin option is more ideal.

@Iridar Still no idea how to get the actual stat versions to appear in game however your resurrection of the XSkin mod that's been missing from the game for aaages does mean I can overlay these onto existing weapons. A massive thank you for that mod alone in addition to likely providing a workaround for whatever issue I've been experiencing with things.

To be clear, new weapons will be added to this mod one by one. This will take at least weeks, if not months. I wouldn't hold any horse on that account.
