Doctor Who - Playable Dalek Race

描述


On one of the many distant glitterworlds out there, the daleks came from an unfortunate one that became embattled in civil war. The survivors of the nuclear holocaust were mutated beyond even the most exotic of designer mates or body structure adaptations, resembling an octopus at best. From the ruins of their glitterworld they rebuilt, hatred became their motivation, lack of morales became their pride. And now they have come to your planet.



• Custom bodies.

• Custom Dalek weaponry.

• Custom names.

• A dalek faction, starts out hostile but you can befriend them like fierce tribes.

• Daleks are stronger than base pawns.

• They do not need to rest nor eat, perfect for conquering the planet!

• Speaking of negative thoughts, they don't care about selling prisoners, executing them or cutting them up! Humans are, after all, not daleks.

• Can be stunned by EMP.

• You can research and craft your own daleks.



• Compatible with Save Our Ship 2

• Probably incompatible with Combat Extended (I do not intend to make a patch for it).

Second Bug: Unlike in-game spawning - like from an event or from the dev console - creating Daleks at the Fabrication Bench spawns them without adjusting for their backstories. It’s not uncommon to get a Dalek with a shooting skill of 4 or less when the adult backstory says they should start at at least +8 or even +12.

First bug: Daleks can spawn with more than one casing “traits” at the same time. Not sure if that’s supposed to happen but they’re getting multiple “Shooting accuracy” bonuses and multiple “Incoming damage multiplier” bonuses. My starting Dalek has a combined Incoming damage multiplier of 4% from having both an “Advanced Casing” and a “Dalek Casing” trait. It’s unkillable. LOL.

As I typed this out I realized why it's probably a stupid question, but here's it anyway. I'm trying to do an operation on one of my Daleks but it's not showing up as a option. They shattered their "left gun stick" limb a while ago and I built a "dalek weapons platform" hoping I'd be able to surgically replace it, but no luck. Thinking a bit on how Rimworld does limb replacement, I see now why this won't work, but I'm wondering if you've added any Dalek parts that can built as a body part replacement? Or, maybe if I butcher a dalek will I get a bunch of nice components? That or being able to vivisect them might be good option....

Love the mod, having a bunch of fun with it.

Figured out my error, there's incompatibility problems with the 40K mods which are available on the workshop.

This mod seems to cause a lot of errors, and I am not running Combat Extended.

I would totally recommend checking out the 1st Empire web comic for ideas on more Dalek travel machines and weapons that could really add some variety to this mod. There's a lot of alternate gunsticks and other weapons depicted aside from the standard Blast gun, like a "photon shredder" that's shorter ranged, weaker bolts and fires off a stream of shots, kind of like an SMG. There's also some travel machines fitted with mortars, beam snipers and flamethrowers and some melee weapons like large hydraulic claws.
