This is a mixed bag, honestly. Mainly giving a positive review because of the more varied & enjoyable gameplay aspect.

Pros:
(+) Vastly improved gameplay than Wildlands with neat new mechanics & variations
(+) Class system/specialization adds more depth to the gameplay & lets you adopt different playstyle
(+) Weapons & customization. Upgrading your weapon ain't a grind like in Wildlands
(+) Option to switch between Immersive Mode(lack of gear level & more) & Gear Score system at any time
(+) Ability to tweak almost every major gameplay aspect. The level of accessibility options to tailor your own playing experience is honestly quite astounding
(+) If you own the game, you can invite up to 3 players via Uplay & enjoy every content together even if they don't have the game
(+) Tons of contents actually. It's quite a big game
(+) Raid bosses are fun

Cons:
(-) Story. Urgh...forgettable
(-) Because the story aspect is that boring, the cut-scenes are also a snooze-fest. And the game has tons of those
(-) Not even a single interesting character in the whole game
(-) Barren & empty world. Wildlands did it way better
(-) Always online requirement
(-) Bugs, bugs & bugs. The game is riddled with random bugs & crashes. Occasionally, characters get stuck, objectives don't show up for coop partners, collision glitches etc.
(-) Vulkan sucks & can crash the game as it's unstable. Play in Dx11
(-) The Tac-Map is filled with unholy numbers of "?" markers. 95% of those are useless & as there's no option to hide/toggle those off once discovered, it gets needlessly jarred & convoluted
(-) Raid bosses might be fun, but as a whole the raid experience is subpar

I have only played Breakpoint once it got released on Steam. Seems like they have fixed most of the gameplay issues that it had originally; not so the technical issues though. Played both Wildlands & Breakpoint excessively, and at its current state, objectively, Breakpoint is way way better than Wildlands gameplay-wise.

Definitely get the game on sale though.
