I like this game, but I don't like the direction GGG is taking. I don't want to look up 50 different guidelines just to find a decent league starter. There are no room for casual players in this game anymore. What good is all this content if only a handful amount of skills and classes are actually usable? You release new gems and uniques every league knowing only a few of them will be playable. You are not "balancing" the game, you fear if your players have too much fun they will stop playing. I hope you will turn back from this direction and I hope this will not be the case for PoE 2.

Scourge League Re-Review:

In short, it seems like the game is not lost, yet. While still suffering most of the problems mentioned above, this league was a bit more enjoyable with the new mechanics and QoL upgrades.

Sentinel League Update:

At this point, this game is unplayable for new and/or casual players. You want to have an arpg experience where you can be creative and play for fun? go somewhere else.

(First game is pretty good too). This is one of those games that make you proud for playing it, one of those games that while exploring it you can feel the developers' passion in every part; the story, the characters, the environment, the dialogues (which have amazing voice actings for all sorts of npc's) and so on... And not only the main campaign is very f'ing long and detailed, you can create your own campaign adventures and play it with your friends too. Just buy the game already :P

By the time I wrote this review Larian Studios also released Baldur's Gate 3, It's a bit pricy in my country but I'm looking forward to getting it on a sale :)
