I don't play this on Steam, I have played this off and on since it released. This review will touch on how it feels to be a solo player in this game and never grouping. I am autistic and have social anxiety, so grouping is difficult for me. And yet, this is the only MMO where I feel like I am doing my part with the community, without ever grouping.

Since I typically avoid chat and don't know where events are taking place, I get some really awesome surprises. The other day I was just doing my typical exploring and map completion when I came up over the hill and saw a battle going on against a dragon with tons of players. I didn't have to ask to join, I didn't need to find a group, I just got in there and helped. And when we killed it, I was rewarded for helping defeat the dragon. Then we all went our separate ways.

That is the thing with this game, though. You don't need to follow a guide, or find out when or where events are taking place if you don't care about any of that and just want to casually play on your own. They will come to you. And even then, you can run past it and ignore it if you want.

There have been times where I would take a 1 or 2 year break. I have "Gaming ADHD", I play WAY too many games. But every time I came back, I was right where I left off and never felt like I missed anything. My character plays the same, my gear is perfectly fine. I just pick it back up and play how I want. I don't typically enjoy horizontal progression as I love seeing numbers go up a lot, but Guild Wars 2 does it with perfection. Hell, this is the only game where I actually want to try and unlock more cosmetics for my outfit. It feels great finding new gear just to unlock the cosmetic.

This review is definitely pointed more towards the casual player or those like me with social anxiety. You will be fine. You can ignore the chat and do whatever you want in this massive open world, while still feeling like you are doing your part in the events and whatever else pops up as you play. This world is your freedom from those anxieties. Enjoy it.

I was actually thinking a nice run through of torchlight 2 perhaps. Don't listen to any other people who may warn you i attempt to leave bombs and blow you up. I am a nice girl and would never try and kill my friend. I swear. No...really.....

I'm pretty damn good. Finally decided to actually play PC games. My ps3 and xbox are crying upstairs. One of these days I will force you to play something with me. You've been forewarned.
