Dishonored may be my favorite game of all time. That isn't to say there aren't more fluid or prettier games out there, but Dishonored holds a very special place in my heart. My first playthrough of the game I didn't know what to do or where to go, but I was never punished for being curious. Many times I would get lost or take a pathway that was not the quickest or the safest, but the fact that these options are present allow for multiple playstyles and player mindsets, as well as build upon the players understanding of the world. When I finally beat the game in roughly 12 hours on either the easy or normal difficulty, I felt so proud, until my friends told be they had already beaten the game in much less time, and on the hardest difficulty. What started as a quest to be the best led me to explore different paths and approaches that ultimately led to me falling in love with the universe as I discovered more and more of Dunwall and its history. The characters are lovable and the "choose your own path" element provides understanding of a character or situation that allow you to really build your own understanding of the world with each choice. I'm not gonna try to give this game a number, but I absolutely love it and would recommend it very highly to anyone looking for a new world to explore.
