Politically, Martha Raye was conservative, affirming her political views by informing an interviewer, "I am a Republican because I believe in the constitution, strength in national defense, limited government, individual freedom, and personal responsibility as the concrete foundation for American government. They reinforce the resolve that the United States is the greatest country in the world and we can all be eternally grateful to our founding fathers for the beautiful legacy they left us today."[16][17] Martha Raye was the fifth person to be awarded Honorary Green Beret. While in Vietnam she would assist those in combat hospitals instead of performing because she was a LPN.

:redbolt:I do like to play online with people. Mostly to play Talisman, Titan Quest Ann, Torchlight II, Gauntlet, Dirt 3, Age of Empires II & Ticket to Ride ATM. Other games, I may need more time to get acclimated with other online games I have.:redbolt:

:fhm2ref:I worked for a sports stat company for 10 1/2 years, scoring over 3000+ pro baseball, hockey, soccer, football and basketball and college football and basketball games. I also entered data, wrote some summaries among other things for the stat company. I was also the official scorer for the University of Nebraska- Omaha hockey team their first two years in existence. Took photos for a regional hockey magazine as well.:cardinal::SuperMegaBall::ootp18bat::ootp17pitcher::19glove::ootp18bat::SuperMegaGlove::baseball16:

:denied:Sorry, but if I am playing Train Simulator or Pinball Arcade I cannot answer messenger, my game crashes if I alt-tab:conwayfacepalm:

:hittheroad:My favorite games to play are simulations, pinball & strategy games. But I don't limit myself to just those types I do dabble in a few other genres (RPG & ARPG). My gaming strategy is to try & finish games while completing all achievements, if possible. I love getting achievements but I will also buy non-achievement games too if they interest me. I'm pretty picky about what I play.

I've put a lot of hours into the OOTP series specifically 16, 17 and 19. I have 18 but have not played it as of yet. And it's a safe bet that if you haven't upgraded to the current year you will find the game has quite a few changes even compared to 17. If you love baseball you will love this game! It is an in-depth managerial game, every bit as in depth as the Football Manager series. And even if you do not know a whole lot about baseball's intricacies this game will help you learn.

Everything about this game has improved since I started playing it 4 years ago. The UI is very easy to learn, although it may take a bit because of all of the info and strategies you have at your fingertips. I am especially happy with being able to change the look of the screens and data as well. As a manager you can set full team strategies for hitting and pitching. You can set your back ups and defensive replacements. Lineups can be fully controlled vs LH/RH pitchers with or without DH. Also, to even deepen your managerial control you can set game strategies for each individual player.

What type of leagues you can play is practically endless. You can draft leagues with real or fictitious players. Historical teams/years can be used as well as the current MLB season rosters that started the season. You can play full games with decisions to be made by you as the game is played. You can simulate the full game or season (letting the pc manager take care of everything). Historical seasons can be played where transactions happen as they really did.

OOTP 19 cannot be beat for a managerial baseball game. I hate to even have to put a negative on the game, but I have encountered issues with not having achievements pop when the goals have been completed for them. At last count I have about 10 achievements but should have at least 25-30 according to looking back through the boxscores of my team. This along with too many injuries at times. I know some teams really have rashes of injuries at times but this seems to go to far.

Also added in OOTP 18 and staying in OOTP 19 is a new challenge mode that offers a challenge to managers, it tracks achievements as well as season scores to see what manager has had the best seasons scoring wise as well. Just another + for competition with other real life managers.

OOTP 19 is highly recommended to baseball nerds and those that just love sports. It's an excellent time sink!
