I'm an eccentric and eclectic casual gamer who enjoys too many other things in life to be 1337 anymore. Also a global traveler who has lived everywhere from America to Japan to several European countries, and visited dozens more. Maybe it's because I'm old for a gamer, but YouTube just doesn't give the feel of being someplace yourself either solo or with friends (can't feel the wind or smell the flowers through a screen). Great things and people every place I've been, but Hokkaido is my top retirement spot so far.

As you might expect from my handle I like Anime, particularly older ones. That said, I like the original novels even more since they have the full story, don't get scenes unnecessarily altered for cut out entirely, and haven't degenerated into anatomically impossible chests and/or Lolitas flashing panties like nearly all modern Anime seem to be. I like to read even more than play games, and it's so relaxing to read at the beach where you can hear the waves or in the forest where you are surrounded by the sound of nature. Dolby surround sound just doesn't compare.

Astronomy is awesome - try looking up at night if there isn't to much light pollution where you are and marvel at how enormous the universe is. What's out there? Wonder, excitement, and knowledge! I like amateur astronomy and astrophotography, but I also enjoy looking at what the big observatories and robotic expeditions discover. I'm a proponent of human space flight and getting us throughout our own solar system as a start. I truly believe it's better for humanity to work together to not remain one asteroid away from extinction...instead of ridiculously wasting time and Earth's finite resources squabbling over irrelevant things such as border lines and egos.

I like collecting achievements and badges on Steam, so if you do as well feel free to toss me an invite. I always like good art and screenshots so I'll give thumbs up on those once in a while for you as well.


Public Service Announcement: I severely dislike achievement cheaters. If you use SAM or some other program to shamelessly steal credit for the work other people did (those who unlocked the achievements through actual effort) and I end up seeing it, I will kick you without notice. I don't catch everyone, and I'm not going to get on someone's case for using SAM to get broken achievements for games that devs have long abandoned, but blatant stealing I see will get the unfriend button. To me using SAM is no different than taking credit for someone else's work at a job. It really gets under my collar when I see someone buy a game, play it for a minute, and get all the achievements - especially when they include things like 100 hours of game play, achievements linked to multiple holidays yet they got all of them same day in August, etc. Even worse if I've gotten the achievements myself, because then not only are you stealing from all the others who have gotten the achievements legit but me as well. Instakick no reinvite m'kay?
