If something doesn’t exist for you, it still might be the most vivid experience for someone else.

Why is it just you that is being deemed mad, if the whole world is full of madness? You become an outcast just because they say so. Because they don’t understand you and then they start to fear and resent you. But what if they are right? You are broken, your soul is shattered, and your mind is just… slipping… into the darkness. And the voices, the voices… They aren’t real, are they? This is just a myth, a fantasy. At least they say so… Is this another nightmare? But it can’t be if I am already living in one. It has to be just another twisted, soulless dream. And you must pray. But to whom? Not to them, “to these gods you cannot pray.”

Sadly this game was released a year too early, it needs some additional polishing.

And now, because of that, all the excessive hype that surrounded the game turned into exaggerated rage and bitterness.

Nonetheless, Cyberpunk still is a great open world RPG that has it's own charm. And yah, at times it can really be... breathtaking.

HL:Alyx is the state of the art game. The flagship of the VR market. It's a Half-Life game that lives up to it's name (and that already says a lot).
Attention to the detail in this world is incredible: you can interact with almost everything, you can read every small print that's written on the objects, you can FEEL that chilling Half-Life atmosphere in the virtual air. The soundtrack is amazing, the sounds (and the sight) of flying Combine gunship brings back your HL2 memories.
There are, of course, many amazing things in this game, but what really stands out for me is the combat, especially gunfights. You have to use cover, run, duck, shoot while hiding behind the objects. Reloading feels really good - extract empty clip, get full one from your backpack, insert, load - it brings additional layer of realism and every combat encounter feels like a welcome challenge. And ye, you can also use a chair or something like a drawer to shove those pesky headcrabs.
This is definitely the best VR game up to date and most importantly, when you are in this virtual world, you still are experiencing the very same Half-Life you did 13 years ago.

It's a drug.
And we all know that drugs are good for your physical and psychical health. Or something like that...

Early 2000s, I am at my friends place. Summer, almost 3 PM - time to watch Dragon Ball anime. After wathcing it we don't turn off the TV, oh no! We turn on something else that's connected to it - PS1. Inside that PS1 - Crash Bandicoot CD. And our N. Sane adventure continues – through the Wumpa islands, warp rooms, even time and space!

Almost 20 years later, I am at my own place. Winter, almost The Long Night - time to watch Game of Thrones TV series. After watching it I don't turn off my PC, oh no! I click on Steam, which gives me access to Crash Bandicoot. And my N. Sane adventure continues – through the Wumpa islands, warp rooms, even time and space!

This is an incredible experience;
this is a breathtaking visual achievement;
this is a treat not only for your eyes but also for your ears;
this is an amazing story;
this is a dark, mature, alive world;
this is a tale to live in;
this is a game of the decade;
this is the only single player game that i spent 300 hours on it;
this is much more than i can tell - you need to experience it yourself;
and yes, i'm up for a round of Gwent.

20 years ago franchise was born. 14 years ago it bloomed once more. 12 years ago it flourished. 11 years ago it died. We still mindlessly stand next to its corpse hoping that one day it will reborn anew.

It’s not a game – it’s something bigger.

‘Life is Strange’ got deep down into my essence and planted there chrysalis to grow and undergo metamorphosis so one day it could hopefully become beautiful blue butterfly.

This is an experience that lingers long after you finish the story. You want to rewind and relive it again but it’s not the same. You want to stay in stasis but like chrysalis you can’t be pupa forever: you have to change if you want to live. Live in this twisted, bizarre but sometimes beautiful and yet strange world.

‘Life is Strange’ is fictional but it feels real. It touches your soul and raises questions about very human nature; it brings forward fundamental topics of metaphysics: like existence, causality, space, time.

Life isn‘t just strange – it‘s surreal. And that brings it a little bit closer to reality.
