Yup! It's another one of these! One of the ones you are always itching for.

Great game, but I had my Ironman save deleted after it crashed in a mission and lost 10h of progress. Apparently this is a common and known problem. A responsible developer might disable Ironman until they can roll out a hotfix, but seems it's been like this since release.

I've paid full price for this looter shooter two times over and the coolest gear is still inaccessible to me without paying even more.

I've had tons of fun playing Destiny 2 with my friends, and yet I still wouldn't feel good about recommending it to new players with the direction the designers have taken the game in.

Positives
Excellent gunplay
Good skill systems
Fun raids and other activities
Cool world and lore
Interesting story content

Negatives
Complicated and obtuse gear systems, UI and resource management with almost zero explanation in game
Inventory management is such a pain that you need a 3rd party app to even play this game
Straight up predatory monetization strategy
Story is not served in a logical manner and some important big picture story content isn't even accessible in game any longer
Slow and misguided balance changes
Once you're caught up, the gameplay loop is repetitive and pointless since most gear is made completely obsolete after each "season"

Excellent!
Doom Eternal is a good single player FPS that will make you feel like an unstoppable killing machine.

It has excellent enemy and weapon design that force you to think on your feet and a story that gets the point across without getting in the way.

Not perfect!
The arena shooter multiplayer from the predecessor has been replaced by an asymmetrical 2 versus 1 game mode that I personally don't care much for, and many others feel the same judging from the achievement statistics. I would personally have liked to see this replaced with a PvE hoard mode.

Difficulty has gone down, especially with the new extra life mechanic that instantly revive you if you die. I found myself hoarding 10 extra lives after I beat the campaign. The low stakes made me unsure if I was really improving at the game.

Very laid-back, cozy and stress free.

It appears to be a city builder but it's really a sort of puzzle game where you create your own puzzles by being short-sighted and bad at planning.

This game was designed by a madman.

A game that tries to be too many genres and falls slightly short on every one. Uninspired shooting segments between wonky stealth sections and then a cutscene or two you can fail if you don't press and hold W.

Early on, you'll find that everything and everyone is always on fire and judging from your party members' tone of voice over Discord, it's most likely your fault. Later in the game the fire gets replaced by cursed fire, so there's good variety.

You build a dungeon, protect it from invaders and send your warriors to the overworld to accomplish various objectives, RTS-style. All of these mechanics mingle together well but are all a bit shallow. The campaign is pretty easy, but manages to stay fun throughout anyway because it is well-paced and varied. The later DLC-missions add quite a bit of difficulty, I'd recommend them as well.

All in all a good game!
