1.2 is a mess
as someone whos played since alpha 14 this game feels like it took a step backwards. graphics wise its always gotten better and might i add that its really smooth on the fps's finally but gameplay wise just feels worse than it did each version.

anyway i just jumped from 21 to 1.2 and its not good. why did they remove all the armor and clothing slots? why does my character just look downright horrible? even still, why did they remove jars? even when i made the jump from A15 to 19 i was never a huge fan of the leveling system that the new versions came with, so much so that i got a mod that double the magazine learning.

im just another complainer in here but i hope you all understand the same thing as me

There are at least a dozen threads a week about the same things you mentioned.

The jars were removed what, 2 years ago?
My head hurts. Enough with it already...
I won't go into detail on individual changes from the various alpha's. All I can say is that 7d2d used to be a game that I'd rarely go more than a few days without playing for many years. Since 1.0 I did a few runs testing different things and builds but just lost interest after a bit. The game just wasn't fun any longer. I just can't do the stupid magazine grind again, even with the mod that doubles the mag points. Games are supposed to be fun and relieve stress, not be another chore. Getting to the point where I might as well uninstall to clear up drive space since it's been so long since I've played.

Props for this. Seriously. More communities need this and it's becoming more and more rare. I do the same in our servers for those who ask for mods (and not just me) and I used to create mods for a lot of games too (Skyrim, fallout, gta, sims, etc) and I never once asked or begged or had a dumb patreon link for a single thing in return because I was only doing it to help others. So again, props for this. Its rare to come across someone else who has the same intentions as I do.

I've played Around A12-13, A16-17, A20, and now V1.2 and definiteltly doesn't feel the same. Melee feels kind of janky, zombie melee range and hit boxes seem odd, hundreds of books for skills, forced to depend on the dew collector or trader for hydration but at the same time forced to wander far to loot said magazines, trader grind seems more than before. Maybe the melee fighting was always like this but just feels different now. But the skill system is what bugs me the most. Still fun but doesn't give same feeling like years ago. Graphics are much nicer though.

I am glad they removed many of the clothing slots. It was just annoying having as many slots as a RPG.

All preferences are legitimate. But, they can't please everyone. So every change in the game get supporters, complainers and neutrals. It's unavoidable.

Personally, I like the new character creation system, I'm glad to not have to manage empty jars anymore in loot and inventory, and the levelling system isn't new to 1.2. Also, I prefer the many new armor looks than the old leather duster I was permanently wearing for its stats.

Maybe try to avoid cluttering the forum with another useless rant post, and participate in the already active discussions on the issues you care about.

You could also lock the thread after pointing somebody in the direction you want them to go to for feedback, instead of complaining about 'clutter' at the end of your post. Letting the thread live is just going to contribute to the problem.

Unless you don't care about the clutter, and just wanted to get a 'one up' on somebody in your player base by being all snippy about him 'apparently miss[ing]' other threads...

Removing the jars and tin cans was such a relief. Water isn't an issue at all.

totally. before you could just build a forge like on day one but now you gotta hope for a loot table to get 5 forge magazines. workbench was like one skill point in the crafting section if i remember right and you could just build it right then and there on like day 5 without waiting eons for magazines
