lol.... well that did it on the new update.....

someone obviously thought "ill show them"
loaded in the new update , and 8 screamers turned up in 2 lots of 4 followed by a load of fat police that decimated my concrete & steel base.

Yeah, no thanks. I actually enjoyed it when they would spawn around POIs and summon in a swarm or two, but at my base they are just an annoyance.

Oh well, time to edit those work station heat map values I guess.

Just did the Shotgun Messiah range with a friend. Without firing too many rounds in the first half we got to the main wave and just as that wave triggered a couple or radiated screamers show up and suddenly the party is about 3 times larger than it started.

Fun times. That being said if they start showing up all the time after you use less than a mags worth of ammo it's gonna get old fast.

Screamers spawning more screamers and so on.
There seems to be a heatmeter related to our gun usage inside POIs or may be it's just a new type of random horde : double screamer spawn. Two screamers will spawn near your location. The two screamers are either normal, feral or irradiated. Feral screamers tend to spawn aprox. half of zombies as ferals and rad screamers spawn half ferals and half rads. The duo of screamers tend to spawn in the heat of action usually when I'm dealing with loot room zombies. So, you have to leave the POI asap to deal with them but by the time you do they would have already spawn a horde of zombies and sometimes one or multiple additional screamers and later all these screamers may spawn more screamers and then the game turns into a sh*t show. Mb I'm just unlucky but in my case additional screamers are spawn very often.
Sometimes there are some many zombies that the ones that are further away from me become immobile as their pathfinding is struggling or mb the 64 zombies limit is exceeded.
Dozen of cops are puking at me, while being chased by a bunch of wights trying to take down screamers scattered around the holes ridden devastated POI, only for them to spawn more screamers. It's fun and all but on high difficulty you might be forced to abandon the quest and leave the area.

Each screamer should spawn zombies only once during its lifetime or not be able to spawn additional screamers. I know it's fun to exploit the infinite spawn to grind xp on regular screamers and you have the choice to kill them or not but a rad duo of screamers outside a POI takes ages to clean up and feels broken.

Knowing this community I'm hereby declare that I'm NOT COMPLAINING about the difficulty. Playing on Insane nightmare with feral sense on and I'm having fun ... well mostly.

wow i am impressed with your play stile . i freak out when i get only 1 screamer let alone more then one , way to go sonic16.
For me it appears to be two screamers spawn at once, not spawn each other. This has only ever happened since alpha 22/exp build.

Both are radiated but it's nothing a smg with black tip bullets can't handle quickly. I always deal with them before they see me and let out the spawn scream.

Can't recall of the top of my head what the screamers now spawn but its just the dual screamers that felt different/new.

It depends on the game stage. On insane the game stage is higher and the two irradiated spawned around day 20 for me. So, no skills & no weapons. Had to mop up everything with melee. Moreover, with feral sense on they always see you as their detection range is much higher (same for every zombie and hordes) therefore they start screaming much earlier.
